I.
Начало урока.
1 .Вступительное
слово учителя.
Good morning, children! I’m very glad to see you. How
are you?
T: Look
here. (слайд 1). What do you think we’ll talk about?
P1: I think
we’ll talk about the nature, how beautiful world is.
P2: As for
me I think we’ll talk about what threatens to our planet.
I agree with you. The topic for our discussion is
really interesting for everyone, no matter where they live, what nationalities
are. It is not politically coloured. But I think nowadays it is the top topic
through the world. Even you are not enthusiastic about it you will have to face
it.
We’ll talk about beauty of our world and about the
problems which can appear. Why are there a lot of ecological problems in that
wonderful world? What must we do to resolve these problems. We’ll try to find
the answers to these questions during our lesson.
2. What is the environment? Say key words to the topic.

Landscapes, Blue oceans, seas and rivers, mountains,
hills, fields and valleys… Can we say that the world we live in is beautiful?
And we live surrounded by this beauty.
a) Many famous poets and writers describe the nature
in their works. And now we read the poem by W. Brightly. (слайд 2).
Great, wide, beautiful wonderful world,
With the wonderful water round your curled,
And the wonderful grass upon the breast-
World, you are beautifully dressed!
The wonderful air is over me,
And the wonderful wind is shaking the tree-
It walks on the water, and whirls the mills
And talks to itself on the tops of the hills.
b) Read and fill thе gaps.(слайд

Now say, what words does the author use to describe
the world?
c) And try to describe the environment
Use 3 nouns, 3 adjectives, 3 verbs.
Then you make up a phrase, where you must express your
own attitude to this term.
And the last task is to find the only one word
describing the environment.

closer to us and talk about our place of residence. What can you say about our
area?

Watch the video and have a rest, but at the same time
try to determine the problems of the environment.

проблемах.
a) And now say what ecological problems are facing at
the moment?
Учащиеся называют экологические проблемы из
видеоролика.
P1: “Litter is a problem in our cities”. It is one of
the most serious problems in our country.
Litter is garbage – like food, paper and cans on the
ground or in the streets.
P 2: Dirty air is a serious problem now. More and more
factories, cars and trucks add their bad breath to the air. Worldwide the
problem of dirty air has grown. Pollution is hanging over big cities like an
ugly brown cloud. It is hurting our lungs as well as the life of animals,
birds, plants.
P 3. One of the climatic effects of air pollution is
acid rain. Chemicals puff out of coal-burning factories around the world. The
sulfates mix with clouds and acid rain falls and harms lakes, rivers and
plants. Sulfates from one place can fall as acid rain many miles away.
P 4. The rivers and lakes have some problems too. The
water is so polluted that it is not clean enough to drink. Factories pollute
the rivers. They dump chemical wastes into water. So the cleaning of lakes and
rivers is very important.
P5: Traffic pollution
In big cities cars and buses have polluted the air.
Many people in cities now have very bad health problems.
P6: Deforestation.
All over the world, people have cut down millions and
millions of trees. As a result many types of animals and plants are now
disappearing. Trees are also important because they help to produce oxygen and
control climate.

VIII. Reflection.
T: The ecological problem is very serious and
important today. And there are a lot of ways we can help to save the Earth.
Ps: We must never throw glass bottles on the ground,
because it will litter the Earth forever. We must not throw aluminum cans and
plastic bottles, which last up to 500 years. We must always throw garbage in
the garbage can. Litter is not only ugly, but it can be harmful to wild life.
Small animals can get hurt on sharp cans or broken bottles.
We should reuse old newspapers, because making
newspaper from “old” paper requires less energy than making paper from tree.
Besides it will save more trees.
