Учитель:
“As I know, you have
prepared the Birthday Party Plans for today and we can see them on the
blackboard. (Учитель указывает на доску) Let’s
take a look! They are so bright and colorful! I’d like you to come out and introduce
your plans. Any volunteers?”
(Обучающиеся
заранее, на перемене, фиксирует свои планы на доске с помощью магнитов).
Желающие
(не > 6) выходят к доске и представляют свои планы. Учитель
задаёт
вопросы.

“(Student’s name), come
out to the blackboard and tell us about your plan, please”
Обучающийся
выходит к доске и рассказывает.

“Who is next?”
(Если
желающих нет, учитель сам выбирает наиболее понравившийся ему план,
возможная фраза: “Who’s author of this plan?” Учитель
указывает на конкретный план. Ученик выходит к доске и представляет свой план).

the topic of our lesson today is "Birthday
celebrations in different countries" and we’ll talk about
how people celebrate a birthday in Britain and China.

Учитель:
“All right,
guys, let’s get down to work. Open your student’s book on page 100, ex. 1. (учитель читает задание к упражнению): Close your
eyes and listen to the music. Where are you? What are you doing? Who else is with
you?” (Учитель включает аудиозапись, обучающиеся слушают ее).
Учитель:
“So, has
everyone felt the festive atmosphere?”
Ученики
(предп. ответ):
“Yes / sure”.
Учитель:
“And now answer
the questions, please.”
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“I’m at a (birthday)
party. I’m dancing and singing. I’m with my friends / I’m drinking a
milkshake, playing games etc.
Учитель:
“What a great
imagination! And now tell me, please: what’s the occasion of the party? /And
how you have already guessed - the occasion of the party is a birthday!

“Now, guys, look
at the pictures around the texts: what can you see?”
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“I can see
British and Chinese flags, some balloons, a cake, a sandwich, some chocolate biscuits
on the plate, noodle soup, red eggs and two sticks.”
Учитель:
“How many
balloons can you see? What color are they?”
Ученики (предп.ответ):
“I can see 3
balloons: green, orange and purple/violet.”
Учитель:
“And what do you
think the sticks are for?” (Если обучающиеся затрудняются
ответить, то учитель говорит фразу: “Ok, we will come back to this question later”.
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“They are for
eating noodle soup”.
Учитель:
“You are so
attentive! So, to find out how the pictures are related to the texts, let’s listen

“So, I wish you
to answer the question: how do the Chinese celebrate a birthday?
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“The Chinese have
a party with a noodle soup and red eggs and all the family comes to a party.
They decorate their houses with red paper.”
Учитель:
“And what does
red mean to the Chinese?”
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“It means
something happy and brings good luck.”
Учитель:
“And now tell
me, please: what are the similarities and differences of birthday
celebrations in Britain and China? / What do these countries have in common
in traditions of birthday celebrations? ”
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“The similarity
is that people in both countries have parties or family dinners on their
birthdays, get gifts and decorate their houses. The difference is in birthday
treats, kinds (types) of gifts and decoration of the house. In Britain they
have a birthday cake, crisps, sandwiches, chocolate biscuits, ice cream,
small sausages for treats, in China – noodle soup and red eggs. In Britain
people get gifts, in China – money in red envelopes. In Britain they decorate
the house with balloons, in China – with red paper.”
Учитель:
“Great job! You
are absolutely right! And what about you: do you prefer traditions of
birthday celebrations in Britain or in China?”
Ученики (предп. ответ):
“In China / in Britain”.
Учитель:
“In my opinion,
we/re closer to the British traditions of Birthday celebrations. So, we’ve
just talked about and discussed how people celebrate a birthday in Britain
and China. And what about our country? How do we celebrate a birthday?
To find out tell me, please: who has a birthday coming up /soon / in the near
future and how are you planning /going to celebrate it? (Обучающиеся поднимают
руки; учитель выбирает одного обучающегося и спрашивает).

“When is your birthday?”
Ученик 1 (предп.ответ):
“On the……..(date)”
Учитель:
“How are you
going to celebrate it?”
Ученик 1 (предп.ответ):
“On my birthday
I’d like to call my friends and visit a theme park (fun fair, amusement park)
all together! I like it because there are so many rides: a big wheel, a roller coaster, a slide, dodgems and
carousels. It’s so exciting! After visiting an amusement park we are planning
to go to a café and have a delicious meal there.”
Учитель:
“Sounds
interesting! Does anyone else want to share his/her plans?”
(Другой
обучающийся тянет руку).
Ученик 2
(предп. ответ):
“My birthday is
on the…(date). On my birthday I’m planning to have a party with my friends.
We are going to decorate our flat/house with colorful balloons and posters,
drink tea with a birthday cake, listen to the music, play games and watch
films.”
Учитель:
“That’s a good
idea! Anybody
else?” (Обучающийся
тянет руку).
Ученик 3 (предп. ответ):
“My birthday is
on the …(date). I’m planning to have a birthday party just with my close
friends. At this party we are going to eat pies, sweets, ice cream, also play
catch-up, hide- and –sick and puzzles. After all this we are planning to go
for a walk.”
Учитель:
“Excellent! I’d
like to be among your guests! Thank you for sharing you birthday plans with
us!”
(Планируется
опрос 3-4 обучающихся).
