The theme of the lesson: Buying food

The aims of the lesson:

Educational: to teach pupil names of foods to how buy foods. To develop pupils’ oral speech and writing skills/

Developing: to develop pupils thinking, understanding, listening and speaking, writing and critical thinking.

Bring up: to bring up love and interest for the subject and to explain new lexical materials;

Visual aids of the lesson: Interactive board, book, pictures, slides, A3.

The method of the lesson: group work, pictures, flip charts for poster,

The type of the lesson: Combined lesson

Connection of the subject: Kazakh

  1. Organization moment.

T: Good afternoon pupils’.

P: Good afternoon teacher.

T: How are you?

P: We are fine, thank you. And you?

T: I’m very well.

T: Let's stand around. What food do you like? I like apples. And you?


II.Dividing into 2 groups

T: Now before we begin our new lesson I want to divide you into two groups. So you must take one fruit from this basket which you like. In each fruit written words "Vitamin" and "Energy". Those who take fruit with word "Vitmin" sits to those place and those who take the fruit with the word "Energy" sits to those place.


III.Checking up the hometask.

T: Let's check up your hometask. What was your hometask for today?

P: It was ex.5 at page 52

T: Who is ready?


IVNew words.

T: Ok pupil’s look at the interactive board, we have new words as usually. At first I will read, then repeat after me.

healthy - пайдалы

unhealthy - пайдасыз

flavour - дәм

altogether - бірге

vanilla - ваниль

strawberry - құлпынай

salad - салат

Here you are - мінекей

Anything else? - Басқа қалауыңыз бар ма?

How much is that? - Бұл қанша тұрады?

T: Today's our new theme called "Buying food".Where do you usually buy food? How often do you buy fruit and vegetables? Do you often buy fast food?

All right. Open your copybooks and write today's date and day and new theme.


VI.Doing exercises.

T: Now I'll give you cards with tasks and I'll give you 2 minute to think and answer for it.

For "Vitamins"

1. One red fruit, one green fruit, one yellow fruit.

2.Two kinds of food which are made from milk.

For "Energy"

1. Three things people have for breakfast

2. Four kinds of vegetables from which we can make salad


T: Now children look at the exercise 3 at page 54 in your book . Look at the baskets. Discuss with your team.


Which basket has healthy food?

Which basket has unhealthy food?

Which food does your family prefer. Why?

T: Well done. Now look at the interactive board.

New language:

  • Excuse me! – Кешіріңіз!

T: Now pupils look at the blackboard altogether. Let's watch the video.

  • How many cucumbers did she buy?

  • How many green peppers did she buy?

T: Very good. Let's continue to reinforce your knowledge. So I'll give you cards with task. There are sheets with phrases. You have to make dialogue with them by connecting with the meaning.

1-group

S - Seller.(сатушы) B-Buyer (сатып алушы)

B: Excuse me!

S: Can I help you?

B: Yes, please. Three small ice-creams.

S: What flavour?

B: What flavour have you got?

S: I've got strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and coffee.

B: O.K.one strawberry, one vanilla and one chocolate please.

S: Here you are.

B: How much is that?

S: They're 60 tenge each ... that's 180 tenge.

2-group

B: Excuse me!

S: Can I help you?

B: Yes, please. Three cakes.

S: What flavour?

B: What flavour have you got?

S: I've got vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate.

B: O.K.one coffee, one vanilla and one chocolate please.

S: Here you are.

B: How much is that?

S: They're 50 tenge each ... that's 150 tenge.


T: You are very well. I want to introduce with many shops.

There are many shops. Let's introduce with them.

Toy shop - the shop where we can buy toys

Bakery shop - the shop where we can buy many kinds of bread, buns, pies

Sport shop - the shop where we can buy sportwear and all things you need to sport.

Sweet shop- the shop where you can buy sweets, cakes, candies, cookies


T: Ok. Now I'll give to you a few drawings with items and food. There are two shops. You should find that thing that is sold in this shop and stick to it. I'll give you 1 minute.
