Materials:
flashcards, a poster, a board, a TV, a DVD player, a tape recorder, printed
materials.
Aims:
- to develop reading skills;
- to develop listening skills;
- to develop speaking skills (dialogue,
monologue)=>communicative skills;
- to develop motility (handwriting).
Purposes:
- to give students opportunity to practice speaking in
monologue/dialogue;
- to sum up what they have learned about furniture.
Objectives: students will be able:
- to understand the words concerning the topic when hearing
and to use them in sentences orally;
- to speak about their room and furniture;
- to make polite requests in an appropriate
- to comprehend and produce necessary vocabulary for the
topic;
- to comprehend a simple conversation.
Materials: flashcards, a
poster, a board, a TV, a DVD player, a tape recorder, printed
materials.
Procedure:
1. Warm
up.
- Greeting.
- How are you? (in a chain)
- What’s the weather like today? (revise types of weather by
means of flashcards)+Sing a song “I like to sing when..”
- Let’s complain (revise vocabulary of complaints; by means
of flash cards name different complaints. One st-t take a card – others
try to guess what his complaint is using the structure: Are you….Yes, I
am/No. I’m not)
2. Revising
the words learnt by means of the flashcards.
3. Singing
a song “Where is the kitchen?”
4. Playing
a game. While playing pupils will practice asking questions and using the words
learnt.
5. Warm
up.
6. Finding
differences of the given printed material in two teams. Practising “there is”
and “there are”.
7. Describing
the poster in two teams with the aim to practise “there is” and “there are”.
8. Summary
and conclusion.
9. Singing
a song “If you are happy”.
Homework: p.27, Ex.D
Ending the lesson. Appraise
students.
Production
Completed Ex. C, p.27
Filled in Bingo cards.
Specific features: young,
active, need to move, easy to get cried=> teaching through active games,
role-playing, songs and dancing. Usage of visual methods. Necessary to develop
motility=>handwriting practice.
