План страноведческого занятия для уч-ся 1 г/об

1. Название дня (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day)
Рассказать легенду о рождении Христа. Объяснить, почему Рождество празднуется в России 7 января. Рождественские колокольчики (bell)

2. Greetings “Merry Christmas” (sing a song)

Что англичане делают накануне Рождества?
- Christmas Tree (Jingle Bells, Twinkle, twinkle little star)
- Christmas cards;
- Snowflakes;
- Christmas stocking;
- Christmas Carol (Jingle bells)
- Father Christmas (find the differences between Father Christmas and “Ded Moroz”.

- Christmas dinner (pudding+holly)

Blind Snowman Game

Supplies:
8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper
Pencil.

How To Play: Give everyone a piece of paper and a pencil. Explain to them that they will close their eyes and you will tell them what to draw. DON'T tell them they're drawing a snowman!

Draw 3 circles on top of each other. Each circle gets smaller from bottom to top. In the middle circle draw three buttons going vertically down the center. In the top circle draw two eyes, a carrot nose, and a mouth. Draw a hat on top of the smallest circle. Draw stick arms on both sides of the middle circle. Draw a broom in one stick hand. Open your eyes!

If playing with older children you might want to devise a point system, such as: 5 points for each circle that touches the other. Points for the hat touching the head, the eyes being in the top circle, etc.

Fill the Christmas Stocking

Supplies:
Stocking, spoon and bowl for each team.
Wrapped candy.

How To Play: Divide into teams. Have children line up at one end of the room. At the other end, hang a Christmas stocking for each team. Place a bowl of candy and a spoon in front of each team. Each child takes a turn taking a candy from the bowl with the spoon. They then carry the candy on the spoon to the stocking and drop the candy in the stocking. Race back to the next person in line, give them the spoon. First team to fill the stocking wins!

Who's Santa - Fun for children
Rudolph is waiting for Santa so that all the children’s presents can be
delivered. He needs to find Santa, who is hiding.

Have all the children sit in a circle. One child is selected to be Rudolph and leaves the room while Santa is selected. One person from the
circle is elected to be the “Santa”, and then “Rudolph” is called back
to stand in the circle.

Once Rudolph returns Santa can start winking at people in the circle. Anyone who sees that they have been winked at lets out a loud, “HO! HO! HO! –Merry Christmas. Once Rudolph identifies Santa, you start again.

Краткое описание материала

Представляю план страноведческого занятия "Рождество в Англии" для детей первого года обучения в системе доп. образования. Это итоговое занятие, которое включает в себя повторение лексики по теме, исполнение рождественских песен и стихов. рождественские игры.

На занятии дети сравнивают традиции празднования Рождества в Британии и России. Дети узнают откуда пришел обычай наряжать елку, как в английских семьях готовятся к Рождеству. Используется следующая лексика: Сristmas Tree, Christmas cards, snowflakes, Cristmas stocking, Cristmas carol, Father Cristmas, Santa Clause, Cristmas pudding, raindeer и др.
