Тема: «Преимущества и недостатки TV»

Цели урока:

  • Выяснить отношение учащихся к телевидению;

  • Сформировать представление о современном телевидении, его влиянии на подростков и на общество в целом;

  • Поставить перед учащимися проблемную задачу с целью поиска путей ее решения;

Задачи урока:

  • Расширение языковой и коммуникативной компетенции учащихся;

  • Совершенствование умения убеждать собеседника и отстаивать свою точку зрения;

  • Воспитание уважительного отношения к точке зрения оппонента.

Оборудование: учебник Enjoy English 6 кл, презентация, наглядный иллюстрационный материал.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

T:-Good afternoon, children!

P:-Good afternoon, teacher.

2. Сообщение темы и цели урока.

Т:- I’m very glad to see you. Today we have a very interesting topic for speaking. We are going to speak about-Television and Radio and we’ll show you a little fairy tail.

T: Do you like to watch TV?

  • Do you often watch TV?

  • What TV channels do you prefer?

  • Do you watch TV before or after you have done your homework?

  • What is more interesting to watch: a film or cartoon?(фильм или мультфильм)

  • What is you favourite cartoon?

  • Why do you like it?

  • What is you favourite film?

  • What was the last film or cartoon you have watched?


P – Yes, I do. I usually watch TV in the evening…

3. Совершенствование навыков устной речи по теме “Телевидение”.

T: - I see that most of you watch TV and like it. TV plays a very big role in our life. Television, also called TV, is one of our most important means of communication. It brings moving pictures and sounds from around the world into millions of homes. The name “Television” comes from the Greek word meaning “far”, and the Latin word meaning “to see”, so the word “television” means “to see far”. John Logie Baird was born in Helensburgh, Scotland, on August 13, 1888. He was the first person in the world to demonstrate a working television system, in January 1926.

As you know some people like to watch TV, others don’t like watching TV programmes. Let’s discuss the TV advantages and disadvantages.

Decide what the advantages and disadvantages of television are. Use the words and word combinations from the table. You’ll have 2 minutes.

TV advantages TV disadvantages

Your time is up. Who is ready to start? (ученики говорят о преимуществах и недостатках телевидения)

T- It’s time to speak about hobbies. Can you say that television is a hobby?

P-Yes, we can.

T- I agree with you. You are right. Television makes our life more interesting .

T-What is your hobby? (My hobby is reading fairy tails, one of them you will see now.)

The next task for you is to understand the boy’s story and name his hobby. And then, complete the following sentences (His hobby is collecting coins.)

Hi, I’m Steve. I have a big collection of coins. My father began to collect coins 20 years ago. Now, we do it together. There are more than 200 coins from different countries in our collection. Some of them are old. There is a club in town for coin collectors. We have meeting twice a month. Collecting coins isn’t easy, but it’s very interesting. To be a collector, you should know about different countries and their people. I haven’t got any modern Russian coins in my collection. But I have to get several from my Russian pen friend.

  1. I have a big collection of coins.

  2. Now we do it together.

  3. There are more than 200 coins from different countries in our collection.

  4. Collecting coins isn’t easy, you know.

  5. You should know much about different countries and their people.

  6. I haven’t got any modern Russian coins in my collections.

I think you are tired. Let’s have a rest.

(Инсценировка сказки – “Gingerbread man”).

Т: - Now I see that you're ready to speak about TV. You know Russian and English television is full of different programmes. Look at these names of different TV programmes and repeat after me:

The news Video clips

Comedies Quiz shows(викторины)

Cartoons Films

Soap operas Documentaries

T: - Now you read these words.

P: - The news...

T: - Thank you. Some names of these TV programmes sound like Russian. You can easily guess their meaning. Films...what does it mean?

P:- ...


T- Will you translate the words comedies, documentaries, video clips.

Do you like to watch comedies?


Т: - Good. But some names of TV programmes sound different from Russian. They're quiz shows, soap operas and the news. Some pictures on the blackboard will help you to translate the words. Look at the picture and translate into Russian.

P: - …….

T: - Yes, right. Listen to the music and guess what cartoon is it. (Звучит мелодия «Tom and Jerry» ) Do you like this cartoon?


T: - The next word is… ( (Звучит мелодия программы «Время»)

Р: - the news


T: - And now I want to know what programmes you like and don't like and why. Look at the blackboard: these phrases will help you. Read the example. As for me I like comedies because they're funny. (Pupils tell their opinion using the example)


I like... boring

I don't like... because interesting

I hate... funny

Ex.: / hate soap-operas because they 're boring!

4. Домашнее задание.

T: - Fantasy about one TV programmes you would like to watch on TV and write their description.

5.Итог.

T: - Our lesson is over. Good bye.
