Тема «Легко ли быть молодым?» Цель урока: понять на слух предложенный текст с пониманием основного смысла и с выборочным извлечением информации. Hello, boys and girls! By the end of this lesson you should be able to understand George’s story and speak about your own problems. It will be your home-task. You will practice speaking (true/false; agree or disagree; answer some questions), reading and writing (the game “Runners and Writers”, and listening to the story that is the main helper to do your home-task. So, the question is “How do you feel yourself in your family?” I suggest that you chant “Iam allowed…” to wake up those who look sleepy. Clap your hands! Chant: I am allowed You are allowed He is allowed She’s allowed too. I’m not allowed You aren’t allowed He is not allowed And it is true! II. I suggest that you react to the sentences. Use the words true or false. SAMPLE: T. You are allowed to have pocket-money. S. True. I am allowed to have pocket-money./ False. I am not allowed to have pocket-money. You are allowed to use make-up. You are allowed to play computer games till quite late. you are allowed to organize parties for your friends. You are allowed to take pets. You are allowed to do as you please. You have the room of your own. You share your room.
III. I ask you to transform the sentences. SAMPLE: T. He is allowed to have pets. S. I am allowed to have pets too./ T. She is not allowed to have pets. S. I am not allowed to have pets either. IV. I suggest that you play the game “Runners and Writers”. Remember that you get marks for your spelling. The papers are in the corners and the music will help you in your running and writing as well. You are to copy the dialogue. Ready? Go! The dialogue to copy: Do you dream of having your own room? No, I HAVE a room of my own. And I share the room with my younger brother. Do you get along well with him? Yes, he is only 7,but we are friends. We are allowed to listen to music and invite friends and take any pets. Lucky you are! But we are not allowed to watch films or play computer games until quite late. I see. Teacher: the music is over. Stop! I suggest reading the dialogue together with me. Mind your pronunciation! And now I ask the girls to start reading and the boys to continue. The next: the boys will be the beginners. And to sum it up, I’d like to listen to some pairs. I suggest that you listen to what George says about his problems. Listen to the story and say if George’s problem can be solved in the future. Ex.4, p.63 (SB) I dream of having my own room some day.At the moment I share my room with my elder brother. He is a student at medical college. He is allowed to do as he pleases. But not me. I am not allowed to do anything. I can’t even listen to my music as my brother is always busy with his studies. He is allowed to invite his boring friends over, but I am not even allowed to stay in the room while they are preparing for their tests. He is allowed to stuff our room with horrible skeletons, but I am not allowed to take even a small dog in there. I am so depressed about it.
Of course he is allowed to go out on Saturday evenings with his new girlfriend. Even though I am not allowed to go out, these evenings are happiest ones for me. I am allowed to watch films and play computer games until quite late. They say my brother is going to find a flat not far from the college. I hope it happens soon! TEACHER: Listen to the story again and fill in the table in exercise 4, page 63. (You see the table above) The time is over, I am ready to collect your papers.
