по теме «My life»



Учитель: Ковальская Н. И.

Цель урока: развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции у учащихся.

Задачи:

а) Учебный аспект:

  • закрепление лексики по теме «Повседневная жизнь»;

  • развитие умения аудирования;

  • тренировка фонетических навыков;

  • тренировка грамматических навыков.

б) Воспитательный аспект:

  • воспитывать культуру общения в разных видах речевой деятельности;

  • воспитывать любознательность.

г) Развивающий аспект:

  • развивать языковую догадку, память, внимание;

  • повышать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка;

  • развивать умение выбирать нужную информацию из прослушанного текста.

Оборудование урока:

  • картинки,

  • таблица с глаголами в Present Simple,

  • CD,

  • текст рифмовки.

Ход урока:

ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННЫЙ МОМЕНТ.

  1. Приветствие учащихся.

Teacher: Good morning, children. I’m very glad to see you. How are you? Who’s absent today?

  1. Введение в тему урока.

Teacher: At the lesson we’re going to read, to talk about Amy’s year, about your projects, to do some training exercises, to listen and to speak.

ОСНОВНАЯ ЧАСТЬ.

  1. Warming-up.

  1. Рифмовка.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

We come to school for five days,

The other two are fun days.


Mondays and Tuesdays:

Now we clean our shoes’ days.

Wednesdays and Thursdays:

Now we comb our hair’ days.

Fridays, Fridays:

We eat our bread and honey’ days.

Saturdays and Sundays:

Relax and have some fun’ days.


Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

We come to school for five days,

The other two are fun days.


  1. Teacher: Now, name the months of the year altogether: January, February, March, etc.



  1. Pre-reading activity.



  1. Teacher: Meet Amy Bennett and ask her some questions:

  1. How old are you Amy?(13)

  2. When’s your birthday? (10 May)

  3. Have you got any brothers or sisters? (a brother)

  4. What’s his name?(Edward)

  5. How old is he? (He’s 14)

  6. Where do you live Amy? (in London)



  1. Before reading the text guess the meaning of some words. Look at the pictures.

Picture 1 – The Christmas holiday

Picture 2 – Skiing, sledging

Picture 3 – Easter eggs





  1. While reading activity.



Teacher: Now read and listen to the text. (Прослушивание записи)





January

We go back to school after the

Christmas holidays. Sometimes it

snows and we go sledging in the

park.


February

We have a week’s holiday for half

term. 1 usually go skiing with my

parents and Edward.


March

March is a boring month. I don’t

do anything special. It rains a lot

and it’s very windy.


April

We have two weeks’ holiday for

Easter. We get Easter eggs. Mmm –

lots of lovely chocolate.


May

My birthday is on 10 May and 1

always have a birthday party. At

the end of the month we have a

week’s holiday for half term.


June

I like June. The weather is warm

and sunny. We have our school

sports day and we go on a school

trip to the zoo or a museum.


July

The summer holidays start in the

middle of July. Great! No school

for six weeks.

August

In August I usually go to stay with

my cousin, Sophie, for two weeks.

She doesn’t live in England. She

lives on a farm in Scotland. I help

on the farm. I really enjoy it.


September

We go back to school after the

summer holidays. Sophie’s

birthday is in September and I

send her a present.


October

I buy three birthday presents in

October. Mum, Dad and Edward

all have their birthdays in

October. Edward doesn’t have a

party. lie says he’s too old for

parties. (He’s only fourteen!) He

goes to the cinema with his

friends instead. We have another

half term holiday in October.


November

I don’t like November, it’s cold

and dark and the days are very

short.


December

December is my favourite month.

We have two weeks’ holiday for

Christmas and I get lots of

presents. Sophie comes to our

house for Christmas with her

parents and we have a good time.

We have a party' at New Year






Match the text to the pictures giving reasons.

March - picture 2, April - picture 11,

May - picture 12, June - picture 10,

July - picture 6, August - picture 4,

September - picture 8, October - picture 1,

November - picture 5, December - picture 7.

e.g. January – picture 3 because it snows and children go sledging.



  1. After-reading activity.

Answer the questions.

  1. How many weeks' holiday does Amy have in a year?

  2. Where does Sophie live?

  3. What does Amy do when she visits Sophie?

  4. What does Edward do for his birthday?

  5. Why doesn't he have a party?

  6. Why does Amy like June?

  7. Why doesn't she like November?

  8. What does she do in February?



Answer key

  1. Amy has thirteen weeks' holiday in a year.

  2. Sophie lives on a farm in Scotland.

  3. When she visits Sophie, Amy helps on the farm.

  4. Edward goes to the cinema with some friends for his birthday.

  5. He doesn't have a party because he says he is too old.

  6. Amy likes June because the weather is warm and sunny, she has her school sports day and she goes on a school trip.

  7. She doesn't like November because it's cold and dark and the days are very short.

  8. In February she usually goes skiing with her parents and Edward.



  1. Grammar.

Teacher: Talking about things that happen regularly (The Present Simple). Let’s do some training exercises.

  1. Complete the sentences.(They are written on the blackboard)

I live in London.

Sophie lives on a farm in Scotland.

We go back to school in January.

Edward goes to the cinema with his friends.


  1. Complete the sentences with like or likes.

  1. I like July.

  2. You like Easter eggs.

  3. We like the summer holidays.

  4. They like Christmas.

  5. He likes skiing.

  6. She likes windy weather.



  1. Amy is comparing her life with Sophie's. Complete the sentences with the verbs in brackets.

Answer key

  1. I live in a city. Sophie lives on a farm.

  2. I get up at eight o'clock. Sophie gets up at seven o'clock.

  3. I go (to school) by bus. Sophie goes (to school) by car.

  4. I like June. Sophie likes August.

  5. I have my birthday in May. Sophie has her birthday in September.

  6. I play the piano. Sophie plays the violin.

  7. I live in England. Sophie lives in Scotland.



  1. Teacher: When do we put an ’s’ on the verb?

S.: When we talk about he, she, it.



  1. Find the negatives of these sentences in the calendar.

  1. I like November. (I don't like November)

  2. She lives in England. (She doesn't live in England).



  1. Teacher: How do we make the negative of the present simple?

S.: By adding don’t/doesn’t in front of the verb stem.



  1. Choose the correct verbs to complete the sentences. (gets, go, get, goes)

  1. Edward doesn't go to the zoo for his birthday.

  2. He goes to the cinema.

  3. Amy doesn't get Easter eggs in June.

  4. She gets them in April.

Teacher: Let’s relax a little and sing the song “This is the way…”



  1. Speaking.



Teacher: Which month do you like? Which month don’t you like? Why?

The teacher divides the class into small groups of 3 or 4 to discuss the month they like or don’t like with their reasons and invites one member from each group to tell another group about their discussions.

e.g. I like July and August, but Tanya likes April and May. I don’t like September and Kirill doesn’t like November because …….



  1. Listening.



Teacher: You are going to hear seven conversations. The first conversation is an example.

  1. What is happening? (Amy is getting an Easter egg)

  2. What month is it? (She gets Easter eggs in April)

Teacher: What tense do we use in the first sentence? Why?

S.: The Present Continuous, because we are talking about something that is happening now.

Teacher: What tense do we use in the second sentence? Why?

S.: The Present Simple, because we are talking about something that is happening regularly.

Amy Oh, thank you. I love chocolate.
