языку в 9 классе на тему: «Television.
Films.»

Цели
урока:
1.
Актуализация
изученного материала по теме «Средства массовой
информации».
2.
Совершенствование
навыков чтения с целью полного понимания прочитанного.
3.
Тренировка
грамматических навыков по теме «Косвенная речь».
4.
Формирование
коммуникативной и информационной компетентности учащихся.
5.
Развитие
устной речи при помощи ролевой игры.
6.
Воспитание
у учащихся интереса к познавательным телепередачам.
Оборудование: слова для
фонетической разминки, раздаточный материал
для учащихся.
Ход урока
1. Организационный
момент
T: Good morning,
boys and girls. Nice to see you. Sit down, please. Let`s start our lesson.
Our
topic is television and today we are going to work with new texts, to do
different tasks after reading and then to revise our grammar material “Reported
speech”.
2. Фонетическая
разминка
T: Now I want you to
look at the blackboard. There are some English sounds there. What are they?
And
here you can see some words. You should match these words with the sounds, read
them and translate.
Слова: program,
soap, show, commercial, transmit, comedy, documentary,
educational.
3. Речевая
разминка
T: Let`s play the
game “Snowball”. I`ll give you a sentence, the first pupil will repeat it and
add another word, the next pupil will repeat the new sentence and add his own
word and so on. Do you understand? So, my sentence is: “I like to watch
films”. Let`s start from….
P1: I like to watch
interesting films.
P2: I like to watch
interesting horror films.
P3: I like to watch
interesting horror films every day.
P4: I like to watch
interesting horror films every day after lessons. и т.д.

T: Look at the
blackboard, please. Here you can see some new words.
I`ll read these words to you and you should repeat them after me.

T: Now I`ll give you
some texts with the tasks. The texts are the same, but the tasks are different.
Those pupils who belong to group A should find advantages and disadvantages of
television in the text. You can write them into two columns or you can just
underline these phrases in your sheets of paper.
Pupils from group B should answer the following questions (you can also
underline them) and group C should circle the correct answer in his paper. Is it clear for you?

TV or not TV?
Television plays a
very important role in people`s lives. It`s a wonderful source of information
and one of the best ways to spend free time. Television viewing is the most
popular leisure pastime. It`s not surprising, because TV channels show a great
variety of programms: documentaries and current affairs programms, feature
films and comedies, soaps and police series, concerts and talk shows.
Television is a
reflection of the modern world. It gives you an opportunity to travel all over
the world, to see different people and to learn about their customs and
traditions. Television keeps you informed about the rest of the world. It also
helps to escape from our everyday problems. A lot of people usually relax
watching soaps. Their story lines are entertaining, but often unbelievable. I
don`t think that they show life realistically. But to many people, the
characters in the TV serial have become more important than real people.
Of course, not
everything shown on TV is made in good taste. There are badly-written programms that contain
unnecessary bad language and violence. Another thing I would like to complain
about is the amount of smoking in the films that are shown on TV. Smoking is
often shown as a very “cool” thing to do, making young people take up smoking
themselves.
Many people admit
that the quality of television could be better. One reason for the poor quality
of programms is advertising. Not all people like watching commercials. They
find ads silly and boring. But I am not against commercials on TV, because
television companies get most of their money from advertising.
Some people say
that television is a terrible waste of time. Of course, there are TV addicts
who can`t drag themselves away from the box. But if we watch TV for an hour a
day, to find out what is happening in the world or to relax, then television is
really useful. So I think we should not blame the TV for the bad effects it
has. We must know how to make the best use of it.

ROLE PLAY.
(ученикам предлагается языковая
ситуация, которую им необходимо обыграть)
T: You are а family of five
persons: father (50), mother (45), daughter (16), son (17) and grandmother (б8). In two days
the weekend comes and your family is going to spend these days together.
Unfortunately, each member, wants to watch
different things and has different points of
view to television.
8. Домашнее задание
T: Your home task
will also be different. Pupils of group A should retell the text. Pupils from
group B should write all unknown words out of the text and learn them.
9. Подведение итогов урока
T: Today we have
worked with texts, we have done different tasks and revised our grammar
material. You were active enough and it was pleasant to work with you. Our lesson
