Тема «Tell me a story»
Коммуникативная ситуация: «What were you doing?»
Цель: способствовать совершенствованию
коммуникативной компетенции по теме «Tell me a story»
Прогнозируемый результат: предпологается,
что к концу учебного занятия учащиеся смогут свободно оперировать лексическими
единицами и грамматическими структурами по теме «Tell me a story»
Задачи: 1. формирование грамматического
навыка по коммуникативной ситуации «What were you doing?»,
2. формирование лексического навыка по коммуникативной ситуации «What were you doing?»,
3. актуализация пройденного материала, 4. развитие творческих способностей
учащихся.
Применяемые формы деятельности:
индивидуальная, фронтальная, групповая, в парах.
Оборудование учебного занятия:
тематическая наглядность, карточки, раздаточный материал, ИКТ.
Ход
урока:
I.
Организационно-мотивационный этап:
Good day, sit down. How are you today? Look at the
screen. There are some pictures on it. Let s read and translate them.
II.
Основная часть:
1. Введение грамматической
структуры.
What Tense have we used
to describe these pictures? Let s remember. So, now pay your attention on this
picture? Read and translate it. So, this picture is different than those
pictures. Why? (Объяснение времени the Past Continuous Tense)
2. Выполнение тренировочных
упражнений:
a) Look at the screen. Your
task is use the verbs in Past Continuous. Read the example: I (do)-I was doing.
(фронтально). (He (run), we (play),
she (dance), I (sleep), they (cook), you (read).
b) Now I want you work in
pairs. I will give you the cards, you should read and translate them and choose
the sentences in Past Continuous. (в парах)
1. She likes reading
books.
2. I was watching TV
at that moment.
3. Ted was listening
to music at 5 o clock yesterday.
4. Susan was at
school yesterday.
5. I have been to
America.
6. They were playing football
at that moment.
7. Ten million people
live in Belarus.
c) Now it is time to play
a game. «What was your classmate doing at 6 o clock yesterday? » Everybody
choose the word but nobody knows this word, a pupil shows what he was doing at
6 o clock yesterday, other pupils try to understand this word. Who will be the
first, the pupil will show his word (example: He / She was fishing at 6 o clock
yesterday). (pupils come to the board
one by one and show their words)
d) So, now I want you
divide into 2 groups. I will give you the cards. Your task is to open the
brackets and to put the verbs in Past Continuous. Then you will change your
cards to check each other and discuss your mistakes. (в
группах)
1. When
I saw Susan, she…(swim) in the river.
2. At
5 o clock yesterday the magician…(cook) soup.
3. At
that moment Barbara s ghost…(walk) along the corridor.
4. What
you…(do) in the evening yesterday?
5. They...
(watch TV) at that time.
6. What
she…(read), when we came home?
7. I…(sleep)
at that time in my room.
8. Mary…(clean)
the room, when her mum phoned.
9. The
boys…(play) football at 7 o clock last evening.
10. You…(wash) the
dishes at that moment?
e) Next task for you is
to make the dialogues according to the pictures on the screen. (example: -What
were you doing at that moment? – I was cooking at that moment)

Рефлексия. Подведение итогов урока.
Let s come back to the
pictures, which we have described at the beginning of our lesson. Look at the
screen. Now I want you to describe them using the Past Continuous Tense.
So, today you were very
active and clever. Your marks for today lesson are… Your home task is p. 93,
ex. 5a (to describe the pictures using the Past Continuous Tense). Our lesson
is over, good bye!
