We
will focus on the classroom language
First of all, students have to understand the teacher and
the textbook. I start all my classes with the new pupils from the next
exercises . Please look at the beginning pages of the textbook for the 5th
grade. Underline, please, in them some command verbs and linguistic nouns
that you use in each lesson.
Name them. Come up with 5 more verbs and nouns and write
them on the cards.

Look at the table. These words certainly
should be in the active from the first our lesson. We need a special
training on their use and understanding. The order of their learning is not
so important, but there are the possible minimum in the table for the first
month of classes. Students receive homework with these words. They hear
the teacher’s commands multiple times per lesson. Additional exercises
can be based on the tasks from the student’s books. For example, all the tasks
are read aloud. With the same words we fix the result.
Use the repetitive language patterns
for instructions, so that the children are familiar with them and clear about
what to do.
Activities
Which team will write more words on the
Board? Don’t forget prizes.
