1. Review cards with children,
especially family members and classroom objects.
2. Pre-teaching: Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Focusing on the initial
letters sound of the days of the week. Learners practise overwriting capital
letters M T W Th S S [upper case letters].
3. Sing a song about “Days of the
week.”

4. Teacher divide Learners in two
group, learners should stick pictures into the claster, under the days and
say name of the images [images: go to school, shopping, play football,
cinema, cleaning, rest, playing ] .
5. Show children your labels for
the days of the week. Walk around the room and stick the labels up in random
order. Have children stay in place and repeat the names of the days as you
point to the labels, until you have all the labels put up.
Then ask 1-2 children “Go stand
under Monday.”
Others can be sent to other
labels. Once all children are in place, have the Monday group go to a
different “day”, and start moving children quickly and quietly around the
room. Give out stickers for those students who can do it quietly

Sing “Days of the Week” to review those words.
