  Our favourite day of the week has changed through the years. When we were young children, we loved Saturdays and Sundays because they were the family time at home, when we played different board games. Our favourite board game is chess. It is a two-player board game played on a chessboard, with 64 squares. The most important figure in chess is King. The aim is to "checkmate" the oponent's king.

  Now, our favourite day is Saturday because we do our free-time activities. Our favourite free-time activity is playing chess. We like chess. We enjoy playing chess. We are very keen on playing chess with our families. We are mad about watching chess on TV. We are fond of going on trips with our chess club. A visit to our chess club is an exсelent way to study playing chess. We are good at chess.

  Now our favourite day is Saturday, too, because it is our leasure time. Leasure time is free from work , study and household duties. The ways people spend their leasure time normally differ according to the age group : middle-aged and elderly people normally prefer watching TV or going to the theatre , or sometimes gardening , younger people enjoy more active pastimes like doing extreme sports , visiting discos or travelling.Teenagers normally prefer to do extreme sports with speed, height and danger . Some people normally like watching action films, comedies musicals , thrillers and cartoons. We have got a lot of activities in our leasure time but our favourite activity is playing chess. We like chess. We enjoy playing chess.

  We also don't like other days especially we don't like Mondays because they mark the begining of a new week of productive activities. We must go to school , we have to wake up very early. People say "Monday is a hard day" and we agree with them.
