The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
The winner of the contest "a Logo for human rights" Predag Stakich from Serbia said that logo design is his passion. In addition, to participate in the competition it was inspired by love and hope. Its logo combines two characters - the bird and the hand. The bird symbolizes freedom, liberation. In stamp art Renaissance arm means (Bekler, 1688) power, faithfulness, diligence, innocence and unity. Open hand means sincerity.
The universal Declaration of human rights - recommended for all member countries of the UN document, adopted at the third session of the UN General Assembly resolution 217 a (III) ("international Covenant on human rights") on December 10, 1948. The text of the Declaration is the first global definition of the rights of all people. Consists of 30 articles.
Eleanor Roosevelt described the Declaration as "the great Carta for all mankind (so The Declaration is sometimes called the Charter (Хартия) of human rights.
The second world war clearly demonstrated the need for universal agreement on human rights. In 1941, Franklin Roosevelt, in his address On the state of the Union urged to support four essential freedoms: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want and freedom from fear. This gave a new push to the development of human rights as a necessary condition for peace and end the war.
