Christmas in Canada is celebrated in much the same way as it is in other Western countries. December 25th is the official holiday. Many people also take day off on the afternoon of the 24th and Boxing Day on the 26th.
Christmas in Canada, on December 25, is when friends and family gather at home to eat and open presents. December 24th, Christmas Eve, is the last chance to do Christmas shopping, with most stores staying open until 5 or 6 pm.

For the English Canadians, the Christmas traditions of Canada feasts usually include a roast goose or beef and plum pudding.
Boxing Day on the 26th of December is an old tradition, nowadays connected with giving presents packed into nice boxes to family members.
