Meet the champion

If you are keen on sports you are sure to know the bright name of
the weightlifting champion Andrey Demanov.

He has managed to make his name in sports. He sets an example of brave behavior. Today, with his records in weightlifting under his belt, he is a sportsman of world renown.

Andrey comes from Spassk region, Bolgar town. His parents are school teachers. But he never wanted to follow in their footsteps. It is a difficult and responsible job. In his childhood he used to dream being a world-famous sportsman and not a stout guy.

A long way to the dream has started with a hard training in a gym of Bolgar secondary school №2. Weightlifting is not a piece of cake. It takes self discipline to practice, because it imposes the same routines daily. Physical strength is essential, so Andrey has to exercise to be able to withstand the rigors of sport. He learns not to become defeated by a loss, but to believe he can win.

A school-leaver Andrey Demanov is a constant participant and winner of different junior contests. He begins to recognize and accept his individual talent. Sport is a challenge to a teenager but he has always been such a fighter! After the first success he feels great. Now his cherished desire is being a weightlifting champion.

The Champion of European weightlifting championship. Andrey has managed to take 171 kgs. in a snatch, 220 kgs. in a jerk. His total is 391 kgs. He has done it with flying colours.

Andrey is humble in the face of great praise, because he knows that he practiced, and he listened to the coach, and that he gave one hundred percent.

Demanov Andrey became an idol for young teenagers in our school that are being watched with admiration for his impressive victories, hoping to reach the heights of sports. 

Olympics, wait for us!

Conclusions:

Our dreams can make us great. Dreams make people win and believe in themselves.

Sport develops the character. A young man becomes more organized. It helps to achieve what a person wants. It gives a chance to travel, to see the world and to make new friends.

It takes discipline to follow directions; even though you might not see immediate results. A person learns to achieve success through hard work, perseverance and consistency.

Hard work gives the opportunity to break records and makes a person famous and popular.

A famous sportsman, who never gives up in difficult situations and is not afraid to overcome hardships on the way, sets an example for the next generation.

My point of view how to solve the problem:

To my mind many young people start going in for sports, but do not succeed in this field. Why is this happening? Some people do not have enough perseverance and effort to train, because there are no suitable equipments, experienced coaches. I’m sure sport competitions of different levels, Universiade, Olympics, construction of new sports facilities, training of literacy coaches, government support for sports contribute to the achievement of high results and implement the dreams of young people.
