Scientists say, that Machu Picchu was built by Inca, but local inhabitants admit that it was built by a civilisation that existed 10000 years ago.
Official version: Machu Picchu is a pre-Columbian 15th-century Inca site located 2,430 metres above sea level. It is located in the Cusco Region of Peru, South America. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Well known as the "Lost City of the Incas", it is perhaps the most famous icon of the Inca World.
1st fact: Some scientists say that Inca transported huge granite blocks (some of them weighed about 100 tons) for a few kilometres across the river to the top of the mountain, but they didn’t have a wheel!
2nd fact There are two tipes of masonry in Machu Picchu: 1st made of usual stones and clay 2nd made of irregular perfectly laid stones
It could be made with the help of a highly powerful laser, but Inca had only instruments made of copper V
Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly who built Machu Picchu, but it is doubtful whether it was built by Inca.
