If you like to be scared out of your wits, this is the
place for you! Go deep underground and learn
about the Great Fire of London, Jack the Ripper
and The Great Plague. You can also try to get out
of a scary labyrinth of mirrors. Not an experience
for the faint-hearted, but you will ……………………

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the River Thames boat trip, which I hope you'll enjoy. On the left you can see The London Eye, the big wheel built in 2000 for the millennium. Now, ladies and gentlemen, we're just passing The Tower of London, which has been a prison, a medieval fortress and an arsenal and now where the Crown Jewels are kept. We're coming up on the London Dungeon which is not for the faint-hearted. Here you can learn all about things such as the Great Fire of London and the Great Plague here. On the right, you can now see Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, completed in 1997. You can learn all about life in Shakespeare's time there through a permanent exhibition. Also, don't miss the London Aquarium and St Paul's Cathedral.

The Winter Palace was built between 1754 and 1762 as the winter home of the Russian tsars. It has 1,786 doors and 1,945 windows. In 1917 it was attacked during the October Revolution. It is home to the Hermitage Museum which holds one of the world's greatest collections of art

The Peter and Paul Fortress is an old fortress and prison, which was built in 1703. It contains some churches where many of Russia's tsars are buried. It is now a museum.
