Childhood He was born on the 15 of April in 1452 in Italy. His mother and father were unmarried and that made him illegitimate .He never got a proper education. The only education he ever got was from the local church priests, who taught him how to read and write. Leonardo spent his childhood with his uncle in the fields.
Artist Verrocchio In 1466, Leonardo was sent to Florence to the workshop of the artist Verrocchio, in order to learn the skills of an artist He was also exposed to a very wide range of technical skills such as drafting, set construction, plasterworking, paint chemistry, and metallurgy.
Leonardo studied the topographical anatomy of the human body At the age of 30 he prepared to publish a theoretical work on anatomy and made more than 200 drawings He was interested in the human body . He was able to discover the disease arteriosclerosis by comparing an old man's body to a child's. Leonardo carried out his anatomical research.
