Открытый урок «Friends. Friendship»

По УМК «Spotlight» О.В. Афанасьева для 10 класса

Форма урока: урок обобщения новых знаний по теме « Друг. Дружба»

Задачи урока:


- активизировать и совершенствовать актуальный словарный запас по теме «Friendship»


- активизировать познавательную инициативу и формировать социальную компетентность;


- формировать и развивать учебно-организационные умения и навыки ( взаимоконтроль, самостоятельная работа, коллективная деятельность)

- развивать способность к рефлексии как важнейшей составляющей умения учиться.

Оборудование : компьютер, проектор, карточки с заданиями, распечатка текста, учебник, аудиозаписи.

Ход урока:

1.Организационный момент:

Учитель(См. слайд 1. Friendship.)

a.Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to see you. How are you today? Fine. Now I see you are ready to start working;

b.Open your books at page ss1. Read the title of the song and look at the picture. Elicit the suggestions as to what the topic of the lesson may be about.


- I think the topic may be about friend and friendship.


c.Predict the content of the song based on the title and the picture.


- I think the title of the song refers to a relationship between two people probably two friends because the picture shows two young women smiling at each other.


d.Today we are summing up our knowledge and skills on the topic «Friend. Friendship» using new material.

e.By the way have you got friends? Ok. Let’s take the words “friends”, “friendship” and create associations for these words. Write them down in your copybook or on your sheets of paper. Work in groups of 4, please

f.I see you have different associations for these words because you have different experience of having a friend.

g.Работа со словом. Look at the dictionary entries of the qualities describing a friend’s character.

Match the meaning of the word with its definition.

What makes a good friend according to the singer?

-According to the singer a good friend is kind and is always there when you need them.

-He/she is also helpful , loyal and strong and always knows what to do.

What makes a good friend according to your opinion?

-To me a good friend should be loyal and trusting.

-A friend should be supportive when you have doubts or problems.

-A friend shouldn’t be mean.

-Friends are people who care.

-They try to understand.

-They give a helping hand.

How important is friendship to you?

-I think…/As for me friendship means: trust, tolerance, forgiveness, understanding, shared, interest, respect, honesty, support, help, care.

What’s better to have a lot of casual friends or a few close friends?

-I think it’s good to have a lot of casual friends because then you will always have someone to go out with and spend time with.

-I think it’s much better to have a few close friends who can trust and rely on. Casual friends are not as loyal as close friends and they may let you need them.

-But I have my family to rely on. I prefer to keep my friendship casual because close friends can make a lot of demands on you emotionally.


m.(См. слайд 5)I see friendship is precious. Your hometask was to read the text what your birth date says about you as a friend. Let’s see what kind of friend you actually are… Are you ready to present your hometask?

I like your works very much!

h.If you really want to be a true friend here are some tips.

1.Don’t choose friends based on looks.

2.Choose friends who are humorous, talkative and who never treat others badly.

3.Try to choose friends that you can actually benefit from. Those who are creative and have interest other than fashion and parties.

B.Книг и друзей должно быть мало, но хороших.
