Interesting facts about the English language
Many people think that English - the most popular language in the world. So: debunk this myth. The most common language - still Chinese. And the second most common - Spanish. English also gets an honorable bronze and about 400 million speakers. But the study, or use it as a second language, more than 750 million people.
Fact 1 In English, there are lots of interesting words, such as "indivisibility", where the letter "I" is repeated 6 times. Or, for example, Goddessship (божественность) - the only word which consonant is repeated 3 times in a row (almost like we have in the word "long-necked" - the only case where the letter is repeated 3 times in a row, although the vowel). Or here's another: rhythm - the longest word with one vowel.
