2) If the main sentence is in Past, we change tenses in Reported speech. Susan: "I work in an office.“ Susan said that she worked in an office. Susan: “My friend will come here.” Susan said that her friend would come there.

If you put a command into Reported speech there are some :(changing of the persons, changing of expressions of time). The positive form is to + infinitive(V). The negative form is not to + infinitive (V). (вводные слова и обращения опускаются)
Father told me:” Come here.” Father told me to come there. He asked me:”Help me, please.” He asked me to help him. She told:” Don’t sit on this place.” She told me not to sit on that place. The teacher asked children:”Don’t speak.” The teacher asked children not to speak.
She told him:”Don’t touch my phone.” She asked him not to touch his phone. They told me:”Remember our names.” They asked me to remember their names. You advised her:”Give up smoking.” You advised her to give up smoking. He told me:”Don’t forget to invite me.” He reminded me not to forget to invite him.
In Reported speech there is no question anymore, the sentence becomes a statement. That's why the word order is: subject – verb or question word –subject- verb.
Peter: "Do you play football?" Peter asked me whether (if) I played football. She asked me:”Did you eat soup or meat?” She asked me if I had eaten soup or meat. They asked her:” Will you come to us?” They asked her if she would come to them.
Tom asked me:”Were you at school today?” Tom asked me if I had been at school that day. She asked me:”Will you dance with me or with him tomorrow?” She asked me if I would dance with her or with him the next day. I asked him:”Do you borrow books in the Library or at your friend’s?” I asked him if he borrowed books in the Library or at his friend’s.
Peter: "When do you play football?" Peter asked me when I played football. She asked him:” Why are you crying now?” She asked him why he was crying then. I wondered:” What have you been doing for three hours? I wondered what they had been doing for three hours.
He asked :”Who is explaining this rule now?” He asked who was explaining that rule then. I asked them:”What did you find out here?” I asked them what they had found out there. Ann asked my friend:” Why have you done it?” She asked my friend why she/he had done that. Children asked the teacher:”How long have we been writing the test?” Children asked the teacher how long they had been writing the test.
