Rockfeller Center
In 1938, after seven years of construction, Rockefeller Center pushed New York's financial
district north to 50th St. in midtown Manhattan. A true masterpiece of functional architecture located around 5th Avenue, the Center integrates huge towers with lush gardens, a pedestrian promenade, concert hall, cinema, underground shops and restaurants, and direct access to the subway. In a sea of concrete office buildings, Rockefeller Center stands alone as a people-friendly place for both workers and tourists.

Restaurants
In a city of 15,000 restaurants it requires little imagination to understand how fierce competition has driven New York to its lofty position as the dining capital of the world. Nowhere in the world does the prospective diner have a great selection of cosines.

While the ornate towers, domes and spires of churches often dominate the skylines of other major cities, in New York a forest of skyscrapers can be overlooked. But that would be a mistake for any visitor because the churches, temples and synagogues of New York are no less impressive than their cousins around the
world.
