Vyborg is a small Russian town near from border of Finland. Vyborg belongs to the oldest towns of Russia.
Torkel (Tyrgils or Torgils) Knutsson, known well as Marshal Torkel, was constable, privy council and virtual ruler of Sweden during the early reign of King Birger Magnusson (1280–1321).
Vyborg Castle is a Swedish-built medieval fortress around which the town of Viborg (today in Russia) evolved. Currently it serves as a museum.
St. Hyacinth's Church is a Gothic building, formerly a church, in Vyborg. It was built in the sixteenth century as a private church for members of the nobility, and it became a Roman Catholic church, dedicated to Saint Hyacinth, in 1802.
Round Tower and the Rathaus Tower date from the mid-16th century and are parts of the Medieval Vyborg town wall.
