Will/to be going to для выражения будущего времени
We use will when: 1) the action is not planned (we decided to do something at the moment of speech), e.g. A: Oh! I’ve just realised. I haven’t got any money. B: Have you? Wait a second. I will lend you some.
2) when the sentence is started with I think…, e.g. I think I will go to the seaside next summer. 3) when you are not sure what will happen, e.g. It seems it will rain in the afternoon.
We use to be going to when 1) we have already planned something, e.g. A: Has George decided what to do when he leaves school? B: Yes. Everything is planned. He is going to have a holiday for a few weeks. Then he is going to do a computer programming course.
2) when we are sure what is going to happen, because we have evidence of it, e.g. A: Look out! We are going to crash!
