Interrogative We form questions by putting the verb to be before the subject Are cars made in this factory? Was a chapel destroyed by fire in 1697? By + agent / with + material By + agent is used to say who did the action The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell ( the identity of the agent is important)
With + instrument / material With + instrument / material is used to say what the agent used, or after past participles such as coloured, crowded, filled, packed.
