Sherlock Holmes Museum
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930) was a Scottish writer and physician, most noted for his fictional stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction. He was a prolific writer whose other works include fantasy and science fiction stories, plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction and historical novels.
Books by conan doyle
Joseph bell Joseph Bell is considered a pioneer in forensic pathology. He worked at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, where he started the first training course for nurses in all of Scotland. Bell is best known for providing the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s world-famous character, Sherlock Holmes. Conan Doyle met Bell at University of Edinburgh Medical School in 1877. He was studying to become a doctor, and Bell was his professor.

An added attraction is the man in period costume usually stationed outside the door, providing a popular photo opportunity for visiting tourists.
Sherlock Holmes's Room (set table) The museum attempts to faithfully recreate the interior of the detective’s flat as described by Conan Doyle, including the first-floor study overlooking Baker Street decorated with period furniture and objects.
Second floor sitting room
Visitors can sit in Mr Holmes’s armchair by the fireside to pose for photos, and enter his bedroom adjoining the study, but please bring your own pipe to smoke!
Dr Watson's Room
Sitting Room In this sitting room, visitors will find the original wicker chair referenced by famed Holmes illustrator Sidney Paget in his portrayal of the seated detective. His deerstalker, pistol, violin are in their usual places.
Sherlock Holmes study view The pipe and magnifying glass, the many newspapers and books and test tubes – these things are an index of the life of Sherlock Holmes.
The Sherlock Holmes pub The Sherlock Holmes pub is a traditional English pub serving pints and pub food. As well as a bar and restaurant, the pub has a secret - a complete recreation of Holmes and Watson's study
