  Subculture (lat. sub "under" + cultura "culture"), subculture (term) in sociology, anthropology and cultural studies, is a part of the culture of a society that differs in its behavior from the overwhelming majority, as well as social groups of carriers of this culture. A subculture may differ from the dominant culture in its own value system, language, behavior, clothing, and other aspects.

  "Goth"
  The word "Goth" comes from the English gothic – barbaric, rude. Like many other subcultures, Goths appeared in the 1970s in the UK on the basis of the punk movement. Initially, mostly young people became Goths. Today, these are people of a full range of ages: from 14 to 45 years and older.
  Gothic fashion consists of different trends and styles, united, however, by permanent features: black (sometimes combined with bright acid or pastel shades) and exclusively silver jewelry. The fashion for "Victorian Gothic" that appeared later implies lush dresses for girls, stylized for the second half of the XIX century, long loose hair, an abundance of lace, hats. prefer loose-fitting clothes (robes, short dresses and skirts, T-shirts), urban style.

  «I think that Gothic fashion may well look stylish and beautiful. I created my image reflecting the Gothic style in it: black dress, beret, black shoes. The decoration is minimalistic: the bottom of the dress is decorated with a cross, there is also a silver decoration on the collar.   Grunge

This subculture is characterized by multilayering; non-standard combination of things of different styles; deliberate sloppiness in the image.

  The emo youth subculture
  The emo youth subculture, like the Goth subculture, came out of punk. The very name of the emo subculture is an abbreviation of the English "emotional", "emotional."
  
  It is believed that EMO was first talked about in the West in 1988. The emo subculture also began with music – namely, with the performances of the Fugazy group.And if punks are young people from the suburbs, Goths are the middle class, then emo are originally children from wealthy families. emos in the late 1980s - early 1990s in Western countries called alternative golden youth. The second wave of popularity of the emo subculture occurred in the early 2000s.
  A characteristic element of emo–style clothing is skinny jeans. Girls wear tutu skirts. All EMO wear tight T-shirts, black or pink belts, sneakers with bright or black laces, slip-ons (shoes similar to slippers, but with a rubber sole), checkered scarves-arafatki around the neck.
  On emo clothes you can find unusual and bright drawings - hearts, blades, pistols. Sometimes a pink heart can be cracked or even torn to shreds. And there are also a skull with bones, a black five-pointed star on a pink background and cartoon characters.

  The first dudes appeared in the late 1940s. Their movement became a protest against the stereotypes of Soviet society.
  Since the 50s, the dudes have been constantly harassed. Representatives of the subculture were regularly ridiculed in the press and worked out at Komsomol meetings, detachments of vigilantes chased them on the streets.
  The hipster movement had almost died out by
  the mid-1960s.
  The first stylists wore baggy double-breasted jackets of variegated colors, hats with wide brims, bright socks peeking out from under trousers, colored silk or Hawaiian shirts, sweaters with deer, pointed shoes with high soles, ties with dragons, monkeys, roosters.
  Later, the outfit of representatives of the subculture became more elegant: pipe trousers 22 cm wide - in contrast to the Soviet 32—centimeter, jeans, umbrellas, canes, narrow herring ties.
