1. On the column in the centre there is a statue of Admiral Nelson who defeated the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 . At the bottom of the column there are four bronze lions. To the left you can see the National Gallery

«A trip to London»
Тип урока: комплексное применение знаний на практике с использованием ИКТ.
Форма урока: экскурсия (стимулирует познавательный интерес учащихся, позволяет охватить большой объём материала и представить его в интересной форме)
Дидактическая цель: создать условия для применения ЗУН и осуществлять предметную компетентность в стандартной и новой ситуации.
Цели по содержанию:
1) воспитательная цель:
- формировать интерес к культуре, истории и традициям страны изучаемого языка
- воспитывать толерантность (терпимость) к иноязычной нации
- воспитывать культуру общения
- воспитывать культуру умственного труда
2) развивающая:
- развивать общеучебные и специальные умения и навыки, навыки самоконтроля и самостоятельной работы
- развивать память, внимание, наблюдательность, логическое мышление, эмоциональную и мотивационную сферу личности
- развивать коммуникативные умения и навыки
3) образовательная :
- создать условия для применения знаний и умений в знакомой и новой учебных ситуациях;
Задачи:
- Воспитать культуру общения.
- Совершенствование произносительных навыков говорения.
- Научить учащихся монологическим высказываниям, рассуждать по заданной теме.
- Развивать интерес к учебно-познавательной деятельности на уроке, внимание, зрительную память, наглядно-образное мышление, языковую догадку у детей;
- Тренировать детей в употреблении названий животных, достопримечательностей Лондона
Формы организации познавательной деятельности:
фронтальная, групповая, парная.
Средства обучения: проектор, компьютер, раздаточный материал, картинки.
Методы:
Объяснительно-иллюстративный метод, продуктивный метод, метод проблемного изложения, частично-поисковый, метод использования информационных технологий.

Teacher: Today we’ll have an unusual lesson. We’ll make a trip to London. Have you ever been to London? We have already known some information about London but we haven’t been there.
We will visit different places of interest, meet wild animals, sing song, learn a lot about London and do some tasks, for each correct answer you’ll earn money.
Every year a lot of people visit London. Can you think of any reason for travelling to this city? Why do people visit London?
Pupil 1: I think in London there are a lot of places to visit: Tower Bridge, Big Ben,
The Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace.
Pupil 2: To my mind people visit London because it’s the capital of England. It is the biggest city in Britain.

Заключительный урок-путешествие в 5 классе по теме "Достопримечательности Лондона".
Работа в группах. Прилагается конспект, презентация урока и звуковое сопровождение. Задания разнообразные: сопоставить названия интересных мест Лондона и их описание,определить с какими выдающимися деятелями связаны эти места,вспомнить, чем знамениты парки Лондона, основное понимание текста по теме, тестовые задания, загадки и тд.
Кроме того ребятам будет предложено видео на английском языке, информация которого будет использовано в тестовом задании.Посетив один из парков Лондона, ребятам будет предложено исполнить песню Биттлз с опорой на видео.
Путешествие разбито на несколько остановок, за каждое задание команды получают определенную сумму денег, которую в конце подсчитывают и выявляют победителя.
