There is no place like home and we have a lot of things to be proud of.
Our Tasks are:
We’d like to show you some places in Novo-Talitsy which are the pride of our district.
We also want to introduce you some outstanding people who add the fame our home place. So WELCOME TO NOVO-TALITSY!
The Hypothesis:

Our village is very beautiful. It is situated in Ivanovo district. My home place differs little from thousands of other quiet villages of Central Russia. It cannot boast any extraordinary sights or exotic landscapes, which usually draw crowds of tourists. But still some places are worth seeing.

These places are connected with the fates of outstanding persons. We invite you to the excursion to the Tsvetaevs’ Museum.

It was opened in May, 18, 1995. Its expositions tell us about the life of the three generations of this famous family who contributed a lot to the Russian culture. People in many countries know the names of Ivan Tsvetaev, the founder of the Pushkin’s Art Museum in Moscow, Marina Tsvetaeva, a great Russian poet with a difficult and tragic fate, her sister Anastasia, a talented writer. And we can’t be proud of the fact that they came from Talitsy.

Another historical place in our village is the House of N. I. Molchanov, a Russian counter-admiral. The House was founded in the 18th century. The old beautiful building stands on the hill on the bank of the Vergusa, it is reconstructed and it’s the Social Centre now. People Novo-Talitsy remember its founder N. I. Molchanov who was involved in charities and in 1775 he gave money for the building of church in Talitsy.

This church is called Svyato-Nikolskaya, it is 240 years old this year.
It is restored now.

But there are not only historical places in our village which we are proud of. We are the students of Novotalitskaya School, the biggest and the best school in the district, which celebrated the 35th annivercary in 2014.
There are about 700 pupils and 40 teachers at school, we are like one big family.

Our school has its own anthem with such words:
35 для школы – это мало,
Талицкая школа, ты в расцвете!
А за красоту твою и славу мы в
ответе,
Мы хотим, чтоб школа лучше стала!

Our teachers are skilful and very talented.
In 2006, 2008 and 2013 some of them became the winners of the contest “The Best Teachers of Russia”
We are very proud of them!

If you want to get to know more about our school and our village, you may visit two school museums, which are headed by I. A. Nikologorskaya, a teacher of literature

Besides, there is another wonderful museum at our school – “The Museum of Applied Arts”, the expositions of which are very interesting and unusual.

The museum is visited by many people, both children and grown-ups.

Our next page is devoted to the “Teplichny” State-farm, where different vegetables are
grown.

It produces many tons of cucumbers and tomatoes all the year round. Many our relatives work in “Teplichny” They do their best to grow more vegetables. We are proud of them and we created our own “Board of Fame”. Some of our mums are awarded by the Diplomas of Honour for their work.

We have a good opportunity to go in for sports because there is a large Sport Centre in Novo-Talitsy. It is called “Olymp”

In this centre both children and grown-ups can play football, tennis, do aerobics, boxing, wrestling, athletics, to ski and play hockey in winter. Our sportsmen take part in a great number of various competitions which are held at our stadium. They also become the winners of many contests, tournaments and games held in different cities of Russia and abroad. We are very proud of them and many of our classmates like sports.

For those children who are fond of dancing there are the ballet studio “Etude” (the leader Prytchikova E. V.) and the dancing group “Tonus” (the leader Chernyshova O.V.). They are the winners of many Russian, national and international competitions.

In Novo-Talitsy everybody knows a talented poet
N. V.Ivanov who wrote wonderful poems published in his books “Zolotava”, “Teplinka” and others. Another famous poetess who lives in Novo-Talitsy is N.S. Ivanchenko. Her poems are very sincere.
Места есть позавиднее.
Но ты навек одна,
Срединная, равнинная
Родная сторона.
Душа как пригвождённая –
И этим счастлив я –
К тебе, нечернозёмная
Отцовская земля.

So, Our Conclusion Is:
Really, for every person there is no place like home. In our village there are a lot of places and many people that we are proud of. Look around and you will see how beautiful your home place is. And it is YOU, who can do it better!

Эту презентацию можно использовать не только на уроках анлийского языка, хотя комментарии к слайдам написаны по-аглийски, но и на уроках краеведения, на классном часе.
Данный проект был создан в течение 17 занятий элективного курса "Проектная методика", подробная программа которого опубликована на моём сайте.Ребята учились формулировать основополагающий вопрос, выдвигать гипотезу и работать над проектом в группе.
