tasks were:
1. To conduct a research among the students
and the teachers of our school: «What do we know about Matryoshkas?»;
2. To study the Matryoshka’s history;
3. To learn the spheres of application of
stacking dolls;
4. To make the regional pattern of Matryoshka
with the purpose of advertising our okrug to tourists;
5. To develop imagination and creative
potential of the students;
6. To bring up the spirit of patriotism and
love to our Motherland.

The first legend is:
The pattern of the first
matryoshka is Fukuruma. Fukuruma consists of 7 parts. There is a legend that this type was made
by the unknown monk.

The second
legend is:
Jarma brought
Buddhism from India to China and Japan. He had been sitting for nine years in
prayers and meditations. At the same time Jarma cut his eyelids, so he couldn’t
sleep. Hands and feet fell off themselves. For such actions, the Japanese fell
in love with Jarma.

The third legend is:
The first
Russian Matryoshka was made in 1890 in the Abramtsevo estate. The owner of
Abramtsevo was Sava Mamontov. Sergey Malyutin who was a famous painter saw the
Japanese figurine Fukuruma. After that he decided to do something similar. And
Vasily Zviozdochkin made a doll from the wood.

Sergiev Posad is the birthplace of
Matryoshka.
-It is the place where the first stacking
doll was made by the artist Sergrei Malutin and the carver Vassiliy
Zviozdochkin.

• The most popular matryoshka has 5 parts.
• In 1903 a thirty-two-part matryoshka was
made.
• In 1913 a forty-eight-part- matryoshka was
made by N.Bulichev.
• A sixty-part-doll is one of the biggest
Sergiev Posad matryoshka, made in 1967.
• In 1970 Evgeny Bezrukov produced a
man-made seventy two-part-matryoshka.
• In the funds of the Historical Museum
there is an instance of a one hundred-part doll.

that a family has the same structure like matryoshka.
I think, the
best idea is that matryoshka may be a prototype of the seasons’ change: winter
– spring – summer- autumn

As for us we
offer to create a doll which will be the symbol of our okrug. It will be an
advertising souvenir for Russian and foreign tourists. The main aim of it will
be the development of the tourist business in Khanty – Mansiysk okrug.
We will use
the central part of our doll for advertising information. It may be the
pictures of famous sights, typical animals and plants, and well-known people of
our okrug.
I think
matryoshka is the most popular, colourful and bright, well-bought, traditional
Russian souvenir.

see our okrug rich and well-developed. We must do everything for that.
