                                    1.Introduction

Music - one of the most popular art forms.  There are a lot of different styles and directions. Today, we would like to tell you, perhaps, about music of the United Kingdom. We as fans of bottoms of the direction in music we will tell you about the most popular groups and solo singers and will tell about their creativity.

                                                             2. Main part

                                          The Beatles

The Beatles — the British rock group from Liverpool founded in 1960 as a part of which John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr played. Also at different times as a part of group Stewart Sutcliffe, Pete Best and Jimmy Nicol acted. The majority of compositions of The Beatles are created in a co-authorship and signed with John Lennon and Paul McCartney's names. The discography of group includes 13 official studio albums published in 1963 — 1970 and 211 songs.

Having begun with imitation classics of the American rock'n'roll of the 1950th years, The Beatles came to own style and sounding. The Beatles exerted considerable impact on rock music and admit experts of one of the most successful groups of the 20th century, both in creative, and commercial sense. Many famous rock musicians recognize that they became those under the influence of songs The Beatles. From the moment of release of the single "Please Please Me/Ask Me Why" in 1963 the group began ascension to success, having generated the creativity the global phenomenon — Beatlemania. The four became the first British group which plates won popularity and the first places in charts of the USA, and the world recognition of the British collectives, and also Merseybeat of sounding of rock music began with it. Musicians of group and their producer and the sound producer George Martinu possess innovative developments in the field of sound recording, combinations of various styles, including symphonic and psychodelic music, and also shootings of video clips.

                                               Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran is the British amateur performer and the actor. The first commercial success came to it in June, 2011 thanks to the single "The A Team" which took the third place in the British chart. All its albums "+" (2011), "x" (2015) and "÷" (2017) won first place in the British chart, the last also headed the American chart. Sheeran's song "Thinking Out Loud" brought it two awards "Grammy" in 2016. In January, 2017 the single Shape of You took the 1st place on sales in the USA and Great Britain

In spite of the fact that Sheeran was given birth in the city Hebden Bridge, counties Yorkshire, all his childhood passed in the city of Franlingem, the Counties of Suffolk. In 16 years I threw school and next year I moved to London to construct career of the musician. At the beginning of 2011 Sheeran released an independent mini-album "No. 5 Collaborations Project" which drew Elton John and Jamie Foxx's attention. After signing of the contract with Asylum Records its debut album "+" (it is read as "plus"), was released on September 9, 2011 and six times became platinum in the United Kingdom. The album included the single "The A Team" which brought it the first commercial success in June, 2011, and also the award Ivor Novello Award for the Best music and the text of composition. In 2012 Sheeran received BRIT Awards award in the nomination the Best British actor, and also the British break.AbroadSheeran received popularity in 2012. Then Taylor Swift invited him to sing on the fourth studio album "Red". "The A Team" I applied for the award "Grammy" 2013 in the nomination Song of Year where it executed it together with Elton John. The most part of winter of 2013 he carried out in a concert tour Swift "The Red Tour" across North America. Later, in 2013, it gave three concerts in the New York MaddisonSkver Garden as the chief performer.

 All tickets for a show were sold instantly out.Its second studio album "x" (it is read as "multiply") was released on June 23, 2014. He took the first place in charts of Great Britain and the United States. In 2015 "x" I received Brit Award award in the nomination Album of Year, and also I received an award of Ivor Novello Award for the nomination Author of Year. Its single from x "Thinking Out Loud" brought it two awards of the Grammy at a ceremony of 2016 — the Song of year and the Best solo pop execution. As a part of the world tour Sheeran gave three sell-out concerts at Wembley Stadium in London in July, 2015, the most large-scale solo performances at the moment. In 2015 the singer declared the intention to take a break in musical career and to devote himself to charity. At the end of 2016 the singer declared return.

                                               One Direction

One Direction — the Anglo-Irish fight band based in London in 2010 which part are: Harry Stayls, Louis Tomlinson, Nayl Horan and Liam Paine. Till March 25, 2015 in group also I consisted Zane Malik. They signed the contract with record company of Simon Cowell, Syco Music, after the participation in the show The X Factor. In North America they signed the contract with Columbia Records.

One Direction became world famous after release of a debut album "Up All Night" at the beginning of 2012. The single "What Makes You Beautiful" headed world charts, and the album won first place in US Billboard 200. For the first time the debut album of the British group took such high position in the American chart that it was noted in the Guinness Book of Records. An exit of a new album "Take Me Home" took place on November 12, 2012. The subsequent world round took place in 2013 and collected more than 15 million dollars only in Australia and New Zealand. Except musical activity, One Direction supports the charitable organizations and funds, and has agreements on advertizing with Pokémon, Nokia, HarperCollins and Hasbro.

One Direction is recognized by the group which revived the concept fight bands, an integral part of the new "British invasion" into the United States. As of August, 2012 the group sold 12 million records. One Direction is an owner of such awards as BRIT Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards.

According to Nick Getfild, the chairman and the chief executive officer of Sony Music Entertainment UK, the One Direction group represents the business empire worth 50 million dollars (including sale of albums, attributes and tickets for concerts). The Huffington Post proclaimed 2012 "Year of One Direction".

                                               Coldplay

Coldplay — British a pop rock group. Having begun to play in January, 1998, achieved the true success in the world of Coldplay only in 2000, after an exit of their second single "Yellow" from the album Parachutes which rushed on tops of all charts of Great Britain and the United States of America. Albums Coldplay were sold out in circulation more than 80 million copies.

Coldplay eight times got the Grammy award. Songs "In My Place" (in 2003), "Speed of Sound" (in 2006), "Talk" (in 2007), "Viva la Vida" (in 2009), "Life in Technicolor II" (2009), "Paradise" (in 2012), "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall" (in 2012) and "Charlie Brown" (in 2013).

The group took part in various social projects, such as Band Aid 20, Live 8, the companies in support of children, cancer patients. Also Coldplay made a speech at closing of the paraolympic Games 2012 in London. On February 7, 2016 the group acted in a traditional show in anniversary fiftieth Superboul's break.

                                               Harry Styles

Harry Edward Styles is the British singer and the actor who gained fame thanks to the One Direction group and participation in the show The X Factor in 2010

Early years

Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994 in the town of Reddich, (Vustershir, England). He showed love to music since the childhood. "The Girl of My Best Friend" of Elvis Presley became the first song which he learned. His Styles notes how the person who affected its musical beginning. Besides, his creativity was especially influenced by such performers as Freddie Mercury, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. When he was seven years old, his parents divorced. He with mother and elder sister Gemma moved to live to the village. Styles took it hard and was very glad when his future stepfather Robin made the proposal of his mother. At school he was a soloist of the own White Eskimo group. This name Staylz, also thought up as well as One Direction. The school group won a local competition of Battle of the Bands Competition. After the termination of high school Styles stopped training and began to work for part-time in a bakery, being engaged in development of the vocal talent.

Career

In 2010 Liam Paine, Louis Tomlinson, Nayl Horan, Harry Styles and Zane Malik came (separately) to the 7th season of the British The X Factor project. They didn't achieve success in selection of a vocal competition, and the judge Nichole Sherzinger suggested contestants to unite in group. Soon One Direction took the place in the project 3. After the end of a show the group signed the contract with Syco Music label. In November, 2011 there was their debut album Up All Night.

As of the beginning of 2017 the group released 5 studio albums which general sales made more than 20 million copies.

Projects out of One Direction

At the beginning of March, 2016 it became known that Styles will play one of leading roles in the movie Dunkirk of the director Christopher Nolan. The world premiere is planned for July, 2017.

At the end of March, 2017 Styles announced the debut solo single under the name "Sign of the Times". The song was published on April 7 and headed charts in several countries. An exit of the full album consisting of 10 songs is planned for May 12.

                                               Adele

Adele is the British singer, the amateur performer and the poet. Having graduated from BRIT School in 2006, Adele concluded the contract with label XL Recordings. In 2007 Adele won the nomination "Choice of Critics" on the award Brit and was recognized as the new best performer on BBC Sound of 2008 following the results of poll. The debut album 19 was released in 2008 and became commercially successful. At the 51st ceremony of "Grammy" in 2009 Adele received awards in the nominations "The Best New Performer" and "The Best Women's Vocal Pop Execution".

Adele released the second studio album 21 at the beginning of 2011. The album was well accepted by critics, and also surpassed success in sales of a debut of the singer. In 2012 Adele won a set of awards, including six awards "Grammy", including the best album of year; two awards Brit Awards and three awards of American Music Awards. The album received 16 platinum certifications in Great Britain and is the fourth the most sold album in Great Britain for all times. In the USA the album has diamond certification. More than 31 million copies of an album were around the world sold.

Adele is several times included in the Guinness Book of Records. In the new edition of the Book three unique achievements of the singer are recorded: Adele is recognized as the first solo performer whose album headed the British chart of 11 weeks in a row and 21 week — in general. But also — the only actress whose two albums and two singles at the same time came to be in the first five of charts. Adele was awarded "Awards of the British Empire". In 2012 it published the song "Skyfall" which became a header subject of Bondiana 007: Coordinates of Skayfoll. The song won the Oscar, "Grammy", and also "The gold globe" for the best original song. After Adele took a break for three years in connection with the birth of the child and, having returned on the stage in 2015, I released the third studio album 25. The album became the best in a year on sales and broke a set of the records on the first week of sales. The song "Hello" was published as a single in support of an album. In only two weeks more than one million digital copies of a single were sold, having become the first in the USA with such result.

Music in the United Kingdom is very different. There are as well as solo performers, and groups. This music is ready to get to fall in love not one person listening to it. For a long time there was this base of popular music. Thanks for attention!
