Aims:

1) Educational: To widen pupil’s knowledge about the UK. To practice talking on theme, working in pairs and translating the sentences.

2) Developing: To develop students abilities in speaking through asking and answering questions.

3) To bring up students love and interest in the subject, respect to each other.

Type of the lesson: consolidation.

Result: Pupils will enrich their knowledge about the UK.

Methods: question-answer, listening, pair work, group work, interaction.

Visual aids: interactive board, slides, papers with tasks.

Procedure of the lesson

II. New theme:

So pupils today’s our new theme Great Britain. We’ll working in two groups.Do you want to get some information about G.B? Now what do you know about G.B?

Now pupils Do you want to get some information about G.B? The Capital of Great Britain IS London. The queen of Great Britain is Elizabeth the Second. Her official residence is the Buckingham Palace. The palace was built in the 18^th century.

Her elder son is Charles. Charles also has two sons, William and Harry.

London and its sights

ü The Tower Bridge was opened in 1893. Its towers are 65 metres.

ü The Tower of London is famous for its ravens, they’ve lived here for 900 years. The Crown will fall, if the ravens leave the Tower.

Big Ben is the most famous symbol of London.
