Mikhail had to conceal his origin in order to be admitted to the Slavonic-Greek-Latin Academy of Moscow, where he started his education. He entered the Slavic Greek Latin Academy and lived on three kopecks a day, living off only black bread and kvass. However, he made a rapid progress in studies.

Урок английского языка для 8 класса с использованием современных инновационных образовательных технологий

Тема: «Ломоносов – великий ученый, поэт, художник, просветитель»

Цели урока:

Образовательная: 

-знакомство с биографией М.В. Ломоносова на английском языке, формирование грамотной английской речи,  изучение словообразовательных суффиксов, расширение кругозора учащихся.

Развивающая:

-развитие навыков просмотрового и поискового видов чтения, техники чтения, лексико-грамматических навыков говорения и навыков монологической речи, словообразования, логического мышления, коммуникативных навыков.

Воспитательная: 

-воспитание национальной гордости и самосознания, повышение мотивации к учебе на примере Ломоносова, создание стимула к получению дополнительных знаний самостоятельно.

Задачи урока: 

- ознакомиться с биографией Ломоносова на английском языке;

- тренироваться в употреблении лексики по теме;

- учиться выделять основную мысль, составлять план пересказа текста в прошедшем времени;

- формировать навыки словообразования;

В ходе урока  используются:

- наглядные материалы: таблица «Времена глагола»

- технические средства обучения и оборудование: компьютер и проектор, магнитная доска

- раздаточные дидактические материалы: карточки.

Основные педагогические методики, применяемые на уроке:

1. Визуализация учебного материала и наглядность:

- биография М.В. Ломоносова подается в форме PowerPoint-презентации.

2. Деятельностный подход,  интерактивность:

- на примере биографии М.В. Ломоносова формируется умение составлять план использовать его для рассказа о биографии любого выдающегося человека; дополнительно развивается умение выделять основную мысль

3. Речевая направленность:

- развитие монологической речи (рассказ о выдающемся человеке),

- активизация лексики по теме,

- развитие лексико-грамматических навыков говорения.

4. Здоровье сберегающие технологии:

- физкультурная пауза,

- смена видов деятельности,

- перемещения по классу во время урока.

План урока

1.Организационный момент: сообщение темы, целей урока, речевая разминка(беседа с дежурными по классу учениками)

Teacher:  Today we are studying the biography of great scientist, and our lesson is devoted to M.V. Lomonosov.

We are going to read and to speak about M.V. Lomonosov.  He was a great person, a great scientist, an artist, a poet, a historian. He was also a physicist, a chemist and an astronomer.

Now children, look on this chart of different sciences and tell how can we form new words- professions from them?

2. Отработка произношения новых слов в устной речи

Teacher: Now let's work with the new words. First I'll read them out for you. Listen to me and be attentive (учитель даёт правильный образец прочтения новых слов):

To conceal – скрывать, утаивать

A nobleman – дворянин, аристократ

To be appointed to – быть назначенным на (должность)

To found – основать

To enrich – обогащать

To forestall - опережать

Eventually – в конце концов, в конечном итоге

To be memorialized – увековечить память

Teacher: Now listen to me and repeat after me (дети хором повторяют за учителем слова).

3. Match the english sentences with their russian equivalents

Nobody in his family was a nobleman.

His name was memorialized in  many famous names оf places.

Eventually the scientist managed to found a university.

The boy wanted to conceal his poor background.

His ideas forestalled the science of  that time.

  1. Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov was born on the 19th of November in 1711 near Kholmogory in the Far North in Russia (Archangelskaya region).

  2. He was always eager to study

  3. At the age of 19 the young man left his house and went on foot to Moscow to get education at the Academy

  4. He chose to conceal his poor background. He pretended that he was a son of a nobleman to enter the Slavonic-Greek-Latin Academy in Moscow.

  5. Lomonosov became the first Russian professor of chemistry at the Academy in 1745.

  6. Lomonosov also wrote poetry, and the first Russian grammar was written by him as well.

  7. He died at the age of 54.

  8. He was a great patriot deeply loving his Motherland who had a great desire to make it a prosperous country.
