ТЕМА: William Shakespeare and his great play «Romeo and Juliet»

Образовательная цель:

Развивать лексические навыки, навыки чтения и перевода аутентичного текста с полным пониманием     прочитанного,

ввести и закрепить новую лексику;

Развивающая цель:

Создать условия для развития способностей обучающихся  анализировать и делать выводы, умения формулировать свою точку зрения, осуществлять взаимный контроль;

Воспитательная цель:

Поощрять интерес к познанию в области общечеловеческой культуры, активность, направленную на решение учебных задач; воспитывать уважение к культурным ценностям страны изучаемого языка

Предметные  результаты:

Самостоятельно ставить новые цели и планировать пути их достижения, употреблять в устной речи новые лексические единицы, речевые и грамматические структуры по теме урока, правильно их переводить, учитывая основные виды перевода;

Тип урока: урок изучения нового материала     (открытия новых знаний)

Оборудование:   Мультимедийная доска, компьютерная презентация, раздаточный материал

 Ход урока:

I. Вступительная часть. 1 – мин. Greetings.

Т. Good morning!

T. Nice to meet you!

T. Sit down please.

II. Постановка целей урока.  1 – мин.  

T. Today at the lesson we will start working with the extract from Shakespeare’s play «Romeo and Juliet», develop your lexical and reading skills, understanding the authentic text & translate the extract. We will make some exercises to fix the material.

III. Этап актуализации знаний.  6 – мин.

Aim: To motivate the pupils to recollect previous knowledge.

T. Look at the title of the lesson and suggest what you think it will be about?  

P1,2,3. The lesson will be about Shakespeare’ s  «Romeo and Juliet» T. Well, now watch the presentation. 

T. Tell me please,how do you think what will you learn by the end of the lesson?

P1. By the end of the lesson we will learn the new facts about William Shakespeare and his great play «Romeo and Juliet». P2. By the end of the lesson we will learn more things about the characters of the play. P3. By the end of the lesson we will get to know new lexic on the topic.

V Этап развития навыков чтения. 12-мин.

Aim:  To read for specific information, to identify the author's purpose. T. Take handouts. Read the text and find out:      What is the main idea of the extract? 

     Who are the main characters?    

P1. This is a kind of short analysis of the story.

P2.Romeo Montaque and Juliet Capulet are the main characters of the play.

VI. Этап развития навыков говорения 10 – мин. Aim: To  practise  new  vocabulary  and  express an  opinion T.  Listen and read the text. Agree or disagree with me:

-   The young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, are of two noble Spain families: Juliet was a Capulet, Romeo — a Montague. - Romeo  saw Juliet for the first time at a ball in the Montagues' house..

-   It was at this ball that Romeo and Juliet met for the last time.

-   Romeo calls Juliet to her window.

-   True love has taught her to look upon "Romeo as the man to whom she is ready to give her hand. T. Let’s make a snowball

Give the literary translation of  Romeo’s or Juliet’s monologue or learn it by heart.
