Урок английского языка в 6 классе

по теме «Лондонский зоопарк»

Цель: способствовать формированию у учащихся навыков написания объявления по теме «Лондонский зоопарк».

Задачи:

  • организовать активизацию лексики по теме «Животные» в устной письменной речи;

  • помочь учащимся строить краткие монологические высказывания с опорой на модель;

  • организовать восприятие на слух и понимание предложенной информации;

  • создать условия для написания учащимися объявления по теме «Лондонский зоопарк».

Ход урока

I. Орг.момент. Целеполагание.

Т: Good morning children! I am glad to see you.

T – P1P2P3: How are you? (Fine, thanks. / O.K./ I’m fine, thank you. And you?)

T – Cl: I’m fine too.

T – Before we start our lesson, I’d like to as you some questions.

Do you like animals? - What animals do you like? – Do you have pets at home?

I have a dog at home. It is nice. / So, animals live all around us but if you want to see exotic animals where should we go to? (To the zoo). There are many zoos in the world but we’re going visit London Zoo today (титульный слайд). We shall talk about animals in our life, find out some new facts from the history of London Zoo and we’ll try to tell our friends about London Zoo.

What are the tasks of our lesson then? (Задачи - этапы)

  • повторить слова;

  • узнать особенности поведения животных;

  • узнать информацию о лондонском зоопарке;

  • научиться правильно строить предложения и рассказать другу о зоопарке.

Let’s take this motto for our visit! (слайд 1).

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

а) Repeat the words after me (на доске)

[ai] – society, giant, scientist;

[ei] – cage; save; endangered;

[b] - bear, black, baby;

[f] – African, full, fun;

[v] – every; very; live;

[h] – help, elephant, have.

b) I want you to look at the board now. You can see some English words there. But some letters are mixing. Will you put the mixing letters to complete the words? (слайд 2)

III. Речевая зарядка.

a) Riddles. Now I want to see how well you know the animal world. Take my riddles, read them. Guess the animal.

1) This animal is a mammal. It lives in Africa and Asia. It doesn’t eat meat, it eats fruit, leaves and grass. The animal lives for about 60 years. It is grey and very big. (an elephant)

2) This animal is a reptile. It lives in water. It has got four legs and sharp teeth. This animal eats fish, meat and sometimes people. It is green and very dangerous. (a crocodile)

3) This animal lives in the forest. It’s neither big no small. It likes to eat carrots and it is afraid of fox and wolf. This animal runs very fast. (a hear).

4)This animal is man’s friend. It can run, but can’t fly and climb. It is very clever and friendly. (a dog).

5) This animal lives in the river or near the water. It is green. It can jump and swim, but it can’t neither run nor climb. (a frog).

6) А wild animal like a dog with reddish-brown fur and a thick tail. It lives in the forest. It is cunning and independent. (a fox).

7) A large animal of the cat family that eats meat and lives in Africa. It’s a king of animals. (a lion).

8) It is big and brown. It likes to sleep in winter. It has a sweet tooth. It likes to eat honey, berries, fish and meat. It can swim very well but it lives in the forest. It can be very aggressive but in the zoo it is very funny and nice. (a bear )

9) This animal is very unusual. It can` t walk, it can` t run, it can`t fly, it can only jump. It has a front pocket and in the pocket it carries a baby. It lives in Australia. (a kangaroo )

b) Say what animal do you like most of all and why. Use the model (слайд 6).

IV. Физкультминутка.

Now we’ll have a rest. I’d like to see how well you know the animals’ habits.

Can you fly like a bird? Can you walk like a bear? Can you swim like a fish? Can you climb like a monkey? Can you run like a dog? Can you go like penguin? Can you jump like a frog?

Can you crawl like a snake.

T: Thank you. Sit down please.

V. Говорение. Is it necessary to have zoos? What are the advantages and disadvantages of zoos? На доске: «+» (People can see different animals there. People can feed the exotic animals and watch the young babies grow there. People learn new things about nature. Animals are safe). «-» (Animals are not free).

Some children dream about their own zoos. Let’s listen to the poem.

VI. Аудирование. Лингафон. Работа в парах. Now I think you are ready to visit London Zoo (слайд 7).

You will listen to the information about London Zoo, be ready to answer the questions. On the screen you can see unknown words. Let’s read them: they say, Henry III, King of Norway, receive, presented, Queen Charlotte, She kept, Were moved too, female, within (слайд 8).

Look through the tasks on the cards. Is anything clear? Do you have any questions?

Listen to the text, get ready to do the tasks (на карточках).

VIII. Развитие навыков письменной речи. Tell your friends about London Zoo. I think they would like to go there too. Реклама зоопарка, расскажите о лондонском зоопарке друзьям.

IX. Итоги урока. I hope that our lesson today will help you to understand animals’ world better and you will save them in any situation.
