Ход занятия
I. Начало занятия.
Т- Приветствие
Общая установка. Today we are going to work in groups. You are going
to speak business English using it in different situations. They are on the
blackboard.
The visit of a
foreign partner. At the airport. At the office. Job hunting.
Telephone
conversation. Buying a ticket. Reserving a room at the hotel.
T - Imagine you are meeting your business
partner from an English-speaking country at the airport. Role- play the
situation.
At the airport
— Excuse me... Are you Mr
Cartwright?
—Yes.
—I'm Vladimir Ivanov, from TST Systems. How
do you do?
—How do you do?
—Have
I kept you waiting?
—Oh, no... the plane's just arrived. Thank you for coming to meet me.
—Not at all. Did you have a good trip?
—Yes, thank you. I
was a bit air-sick, but now

partner from an English-speaking country at the office. Role- play the

— Glad to meet you too. Have you ever been to Kiev before, Mr Cartwright?
—No, it's my first visit to Kiev.
—What are your first impressions of Kiev?
—I like Kiev,
it's a very beautiful city
and quite different from Loudon.
—I hope you'll enjoy
your visit, Mr Cartwright.
— Let
me introduce my staff to
you. This is my secretary, Miss

We're extending our business and want to
buy equipment for producing some goods in
Ukraine.

At the moment we are looking for a Commercial Director for this project so in the future you'll have to deal with him.

—I know that this is

English-speaking countries, mainly England, to buy equipment and technologies from there and ran training programs here. We need a team of creative people to
make our company competitive in the world market.
