Pupils the 6 B
Form will sing you a song “Yellow submarine”. (учащиеся 6 класса исполнят песню).
The 10 th Form

Now the 7 B Form pupils show you scenes from this story.
Учащиеся
7Б класса показывают сценку из «Приключений Тома Сойера» (Том красит забор).
Scene One
Aunt: Tom! Tom! Where
is this naughty boy? Tom! If you meet my eyes, I’ll punish you! Tom! Tom! Oh,
my God! How could I forget to close the boxroom? What did you do there?
Tom: Nothing!
Aunt: Nothing! Look at
your hands. And look at your mouth. What did you dirty your lips by?
Tom: I don’t know.
Aunt: But I know. It is
jam, isn’t it? I asked you not eat jam 40 times otherwise I’ll punish. Give me
this twig.
Tom: Oh, Aunt! What is
there behind your back?
Aunt: Tom! OK. You must
white wash this fence and don’t meet my eyes until you finish your work. What a
boy! It seems I must get used to his tricks. The people say you can’t teach a
dog new things. Oh, my God, it’s difficult to guess what he’s got in his mind.
Scene Two
Tom: Look, Jim! You may
whitewash a little and I’ll run for the water.
Jim: I can’t Mr Tom.
The old mistress told me to go to the pump. She says: “I don’t know that Tom
will call to whitewash the fence, but don’t listen to him and go your own way”.
Tom: And don’t listen
to her. Give me the bucket and I’ll bring water. She won’t hear about it.
Jim: Oh, Mr Tom. I’m
afraid of the old lady. She will pull off my head.
Tom: Will she? But she
can’t touch anybody. She can only hit your head by her thimble. That’s all.
Jim, I can give you my white alabaster ball.
Jim: Oh, yes. It’s a
nice ball. But I’m afraid of this old lady.
Tom: And, if you want,
I can show my blister on the food.
Aunt: You are here!
Talking! I know.
Tom: No, nobody agree
to whitewash the fence for these things.
Ben: Oh, here you are!
Your aunt made a work!
Tom: Oh. Hello, Ben! I
didn’t notice you.
Ben: Look, Tom! I’m
going to swim. You want to swim too, don’t you? But you can’t go because you
have a work.
Tom: What do you call
“work”?
Ben: Isn’t it work?
Tom: May be it is work,
but may be isn’t. I know one thing. Tom Sawyer likes this work.
Ben: Tom, let me to
whitewash a little.
Tom: No, Ben. You see,
Aunt Polly is very fussy about this fence, because it is in the street. There
is only one boy among others who can whitewash it.
Ben: You don’t say so!
Let me try.. A little.
Tom: Ben, with
pleasure, Jim wanted it too, but Aunt Polly didn’t let him. If you begin to
whitewash, you can do something wrong.
Ben: Nonsense! I’ll try
as you do. I would like to try. I can give you the apple.
Aunt: Tom, why aren’t
you working?
Tom: I have done it.
Aunt: How?! How much
work have you done?
Tom: Everything!
Aunt: Tom! Don’t lie! I
hate it.
Tom: I don’t lie, Aunt.
Aunt: I didn’t expect
it. Tom, you can work if you want.
IV break. “Madame
Tussaud’s Museum”
Ведущий: It is an unusual
museum. Do want to learn its history?
