The theme: Customs and traditions; Horse games.

The aims of the lesson:

  1. To educate the respect and interest in different countries.to study about Kazakh customs and traditions.

  2. To develop communication skills and abilities using various kinds of activity; to teach the pupils to share their opinions; to develop their skills in reading, speaking and writing on the theme;

  3. To bring-up the feeling of love for their country.

Talking about customs and traditions in Kazakhstan.

Making semantic maps on the topic

Inter-subject connection: practice of speech, practical grammar, history,literature, culture and country studies.

Methods of teaching: demonstration, interaction, exercises, instruction, practice.

Visual aids: diagrams on the topics, pictures, posters.

  3. Fiance’s relatives bring rich gifts to the brides parent’s and ask their consent to the marriage. This negotiation is called……….( cuda tusu).

  4. The lake is called Zhumbaktas which means …..(a riddle –stone)
