-(1)In a city in Arabia there lives a boy called
Aladdin. He is poor and often hungry, but one day he finds an old lamp. When
he rubs the lamp, smoke comes out of it, and then out of the smoke comes a
magical jinnee. With the jinnee’s help, Aladdin is soon rich, with gold and
jewels and many fine things. But can he win the love of the Sultan’s daughter,
the beautiful Princess Badr-al-Budur?
-(8)Oh, guys, follow me! Aladdin is coming!
-(2)Hello, my sweet kids! Who wants some fruit ant
coin?
-(8)Give me…give me…..I want!
-(8)Oh, you are always so good to these children! Say
hello to your mother!
-(9)Hey! Give the way! The Sultan’s daughter is
coming!
-(8)Princess Badr-al-Budur is coming!
-(8)Princess! Princess Badr-al-Budur!
-(2)Oh! How beautiful she is! The most beautiful woman
in Arabia!
( Aaladdin to the mother)
-(2)Mother! Mother! I saw the Sultan’s daughter,
Princess Badr-al-Budur, in the street! I must have the Princess for my wife!
-(4)But, Aladdin…
-(2)No ‘buts’, Mother. I love the Princess and I want
to marry her. Go to the Sultan and ask for me.
-(4)Me? Go to the Sultan’s palace? No, no, no. Listen,
my son. The daughters of Sultan do not marry poor boys from the city.
-(2)But we are not poor now, Mother. And we can give
the Sultan something for his daughter. Wait…
(coming back with a tray of jewels)
-(2)Mother, take these jewels on a gold plate and give
them to the Sultan.
-(4)No, no. I can’t go there. There is the Sultan, his
Vizier, and Sultan’s slaves. Oh, no, I’m so scared. I can’t go there. I’d
better go home…
-(2)Mother, you must speak to the Sultan. I have no
father to do it for me. You must help me-I must marry the Princess. I love her.
-(4)All right, sonny. I’ll go there tomorrow again.
-(9)Who is there? What do you want? Why do you come
here every day? Do you want to speak to the Sultan? Yes? Come with me.
-(6)Get up, woman. Why do you come here every day?
Speak, woman!
-(4)Your Majesty! I have a son, a good young man . He
is called Aladdin. He loves your daughter, Princess Badr-al-Budur. He cannot
sleep or eat because of her. He wants to marry her.
-(the Sultan laughs)
-(6)What? Marry my daughter? Your son?
-(4)Your Majesty, these jewels are for you, from my
son Aladdin. (She puts the plate in front of the Sultan’s feet)
-(6)These are very beautiful jewels. No man in Arabia
has jewels more wonderful than these. Your son is a rich man – a good husband
for my daughter
- (4)Your Majesty( says quietly)! My son is a
rich man, too. Give me three months, and he can find better jewels than these.
-(6)Very well….Your son must wait for three months,
and then perhaps he can marry my daughter.
-(1)Every day for two months , the Vizier’s son came
to the Sultan and gave him gold, and jewels, and many beautiful things. But
Aladdin waited happily.
-(4)Oh, Aladdin! Aladdin! The Princess is going to
marry the Vizier’s son! I heard it in the market. Everybody’s talking about it.
- (2)What can I do? I’ll call jinne to help me…
-(7) What is your wish , master?
(2)-Bring Princess Badr-al-Budur to me.
-(7)To hear is to obey!
-(3)Who are you?
- (2)My name is Aladdin and I love you. I cannot live
without you, I want to marry you.
- (3)There is no love in the eyes of the Vizier’s son.
He thinks only of gold and jewels.
I don’t want to marry the Vizier’s son. I want Aladdin
for my husband.
- (6)What can we do?(to the Vizier) My daughter
wants to marry this man Aladdin. He is a rich man, it’s true- but who is he?
-(5)Ask him for more of those beautiful jewels on
forty gold plates. And forty slave-girls with forty slaves. Nobody is that
rich.
-(6)Very good. Bring Aladdin’s mother to me. ( to
mother) Your son wants to marry my daughter. But first he must give me
forty gold plates with jewels. Forty slave-girls, with forty slaves, must
carry the plates to me. Then my daughter can be his wife.
-(2)Ok, Jinne! Come and help me, please!
-(1)Aladdin went to the palace, everybody in the city
came out to watch.
- (6)What do you say now( quietly to the Vizier).
Aladdin must marry my daughter. How can I say no? (to Aladdin) My son,
you can marry my daughter tonight.
- (2)Tomorrow, Your Majesty! Because, before I marry
your daughter , she must have a palace- the most beautiful palace in Arabia.
-(7)Jinnee! Wake up! It’s time for your magic. I can’t
do without it. Let all my dreams come true.
- (3)Oh, Aladdin! The palace is wonderful! And I can
see from the window gardens rich in fruit trees and flowers! You are the best
man in the world. I love you so much.
-(2)Oh, Princess! You are my only love!
-(1)It’s not the end. A lot of Aladdin’s adventures
are waiting him. He will have to fight for his life and happiness in the
future. But the Princess Badr-al-Budur will be always with him!
