«Подарки для Мамы»

A day before the birth a child asked the God:

- I don’t know why I go to this world. What should I do?

The God answered:

- You will meet your Angel who’ll always be nearly you. He will explain all to you.

- But how shall I understand him if I don’t know his language?

- The Angel will teach you the language. He will protect you from all troubles.

- How and when should I return to you?

- Your Angel will tell you.

- And what is the name of my Angel?

- It is not important what his name is, he has a lot of names. You will name your Angel «Mum».

Mother's Day is a time of celebration for Mom. It is a time of breakfast in bed, family gatherings, and saying "I Love You."During the 17th century, those living on the British isles initiated a religious celebration of motherhood, called Mothering Sunday, which was held on the forth Sunday during the Lenten season.

When is Mother's Day? Mother’s Day is celebrated by Americans on the second Sunday in May. Mothering Sunday in the UK is celebrated on the 4th Sunday of Lent.

M - O - T - H - E - R

"M" is for the million things she gave me,

"O" means only that she's growing old,

"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,

"H" is for her heart of purest gold;

"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,

"R" means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER," A word that means the world to me.

In Mother’s Day people in the family try to help her. On that day they visit their mothers, cook holiday supper and give them presents and “A Mother’s Day Card”

Today we shall make some presents for our mothers.

The first present:

Children act the play “Three bears”

Scene 1.

(Three bears are sitting at the table)

Mother: Would you like some porridge?

Father: Yes, please

M: Would you like some milk?

Baby: No, thank you. I don’t like milk.

M: Would you like some soup?

Baby: No, thank you. I don’t like soup.

M: Would you like some honey?

B: Yes, please. I like honey.

(The three bears go out of the room)

Scene 2.

(A little girl comes in and looks round)

Girl: Whose room can it be? I’m hungry.

(Sits down at the table and tastes the food)

G: It’s porridge. I don’t like porridge.

It’s soup. I don’t like soup.

It’s honey. I like honey very much.

(The noise of the three bears’ steps is heard. The girl hides.)

Scene 3.

(The three bears enter the room and take their places at the table.)

F: My porridge is not full!

M: My soup is not full!

B: My honey was gone. Who is it? A Girl!

F: Let’s eat her!

M: Let’s eat her!

B: Yes,yes , Let’s eat her!

G: No, you won’t!

The second present.

Do you usually help your mother? Ребята разыгрывают сценку.

Mother: Tom, come and help me please. I’m very busy.

Tom: Oh, Mum, I can’t do that. I’m busy, too.

M: And what are you doing, I wonder?

T: I am watching TV.

Task 2. На слайде предложения с пропусками и глаголы. Заполните пропуски.

Task 3. Украсить маму. С закрытыми глазами приклеить на картинку (маме) бантик.

The fourth present.

Let’s sing the song.

My dear, dear Mummy,

Let me kiss your face,

I want you to be happy

Today and always.

Be happy, be happy

Today and always.

The fifth present.

Let’ make a card.

Краткое описание материала

Данный сценарий разработан для проведения внеклассного мероприятия по английскому языку, посвященному Дню матери. Название праздника "Подарки для мамы". В течении праздника ребята представляют подготовленные подарки для своих мам и бабушек, присутствующих на празднике. В качестве подарков ребята поют песни на английском языке, читают стихи и разыгрывают диалоги и сценки.Мероприятие проводят учащиеся пятого класса для учащихся третьего класса. Младшие школьники с удовольствием участвуют в конкурсах, выполняют интересные и непростые задания.Последний подарок это открытка, подписанная на английском языке.
