Цель: развитие познавательного интереса к изучению английского языка.

Задачи:

·         познавательные: история празднования «Дня матери» в Великобритании, России  и других странах;

·         воспитательные: прививать милосердие и любовь к матери;

·         учебные: развивать навыки устной речи и аудирования.

Наглядность:

·         выставка рисунков ко дню матери

·         презентации в Power Point

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ

На экране изображение мамы, звучит песня о маме.

English Teacher: Children, now I’m going to ask you different questions. Answer my questions in chorus: “Mummy!” Is everything clear? Then let’s start!
- Who wakes you up and kisses you? (Mummy!)
- Who says it’s time to wash your face? (Mummy!)
- Who cooks you breakfast, dinner and supper? (Mummy!)
- Who likes your smile, asks not to cry? (Mummy!)
- Who helps you, plays with you and sings? (Mummy!)
- Who gives you presents and tasty things? (Mummy!)
- Who loves you and your Daddy deeply? (Mummy!)

English Teacher: Good afternoon, dear guests!

Hello, children! We are happy to see you here! It’s the 26th of March, the British are celebrating Mother’s Day today! 
Russian Teacher: Добрый день, дорогие гости! Здравствуйте, дети! Мы счастливы видеть вас здесь! Сегодня 26 марта, в этом году британцы отмечают День Матери.
English Teacher: Mother’s Day in Russia is quite a new holiday. It has been celebrated since November 1998. 
Russian Teacher: День Матери в России – довольно молодой праздник. Он отмечается с ноября 1998 года.
English Teacher: Mother’s Day in Great Britain is quite an old holiday. Long ago children in GB began working when they were very young, they worked hard far away from their families and sent money they earned home. 
Russian Teacher: День Матери в Великобритании – довольно старый праздник. Давным-давно дети в Британии начинали работать в раннем возрасте, они тяжело трудились вдали от отчего дома и отправляли заработанные деньги своим родным. 
English Teacher: They could visit their parents only once a year. They used to bring their mothers and grandmothers little presents – flowers and eggs.
Russian Teacher: Они могли навестить своих родителей только раз в году. В этот день они привозили своим мамам и бабушкам маленькие подарки – цветы и яйца.
English Teacher: Nowadays British kids give their mothers and grandmother flowers and do the housework on Mothering Sunday.
Russian Teacher: Современные британские дети тоже дарят мамам и бабушкам цветы, а еще помогают им делать работу по дому.
English Teacher: So, English Mother’s Day is similar with International Women’s Day, which is widely celebrated in Russia.
Russian Teacher: Таким образом, английский День Матери очень похож на Международный Женский День 8 марта, который широко отмечается в России.

Ведущий:  The hedgehog lived in the forest. Every winter it slept in the hole with his mother. And in spring he woke up and was glad to see the sun. 
Ёжик выходит на полянку. 
Ёжик: Hello sun! Hello sky! Hello flowers!
Выскакивает Заяц. 
Заяц.: Hello hedgehog!
H: Hello hare! What is this? (показывает на руки)
Hare: This is the fresh plant for my mother.
Hedgehog: Is it your mother’s birthday today?
Hare: Oh, no. Today it’s mother’s day.
Hedgehog: And what is this -“Mother’s day?”
Hare: This is holiday for all mothers and grandmothers of all universe. And this plant is for her. And what gift do you present your mother?
Hedgehog: Oh, I don’t know. I have not any gift.
Hare: Think about it, but I must go, Good bye Hedgehog.
Ведущий: Suddenly, the Hedgehog sees the flowers.(выходят цветы)
Hedgehog: Who are you?
Snowdrop: I am a nice little flower in a white dress. I have no smell. I am a snowdrop.
Hedgehog: And who are you?
Bluebell: I am blue like the sky, and my dress like a bell. I like the sun. I am a bluebell.
Hedgehog: And who are you?
Sunflower: Look at me please. I am like the sun. Me color is yellow, I make the fields yellow. I am very nice as you see.
Flowers: We are flowers.
Snowdrop: Who are you?
Hedgehog: I am a hedgehog. 
Bluebell: What are you doing here?
Hedgehog: I am looking for the gift for my mother. Today it’s Mother’s day.
Sunflower: Sisters, let’s help him.

Hedgehog: Thank you flowers. You are so kind. Now I have the gift for my mother.

Ведущий: Выпекается симнель из специальной муки тонкого помола simila. От этого названия торт и получил свое название. В День матери в Великобритании этот торт можно испечь самим или купить.
