Task 1

Make one text putting the paragraphs (A – E) into the correct order from 11 – 15 in your answer sheet. 

 A.

   Soon the dog came to a small river running through the field. There was a bridge. The dog walked on the bridge, stopped there for some time and looked into the water. He saw another dog in the water. The other dog had a big piece of meat in his teeth too.

B.

   “Where is the other dog?” he asked himself. “Where is his big piece of meat? Where is my piece of meat?”

   C.

 A dog walked along a road over a field. He carried a big piece of meat in his teeth. He wanted to eat it in the field, far from other dogs.

There were no answers to his questions and the dog’s meat was nowhere

 to be seen.

   “I think I must take that piece of meat away from the other dog,” said the dog to  himself.  With these words the dog  jumped into the water, but he did not see the other dog. When he got out of the river he had no meat in his teeth.

21.  Two teams use wood sticks to run a rubber (a ball or a puck), to score a goal. As the game is very quick and intensive, the players change often. The game is rather dangerous. The players wear uniforms that weigh several kilograms and save them (the players) from painful falls on the ice, hits with the wood sticks and skates, etc. Still many people find it exciting and prefer it to other sports and games.

23.  This game comes from England. The matches are continuous long, so the athletes must be strong to play for a long time and not get tired. 24.  Its name translates as the gentle way. This sport came from the Far East. You learn to react and move quickly. You hold and throw your opponent. The sport’s philosophy teaches you to respect yourself and others. As there is not much equipment, it is not expensive.

25.  This sport is very hard and dangerous. Most people cannot understand the joy of it. But those who practice it say they enjoy it because they have to overcome difficulties together with their friends, because they can feel their power and also because they can enjoy most beautiful breathtaking panoramas.

Bad Temper
