CINDERELLA
Scene 1
Cinderella’s house.
Early morning. Cinderella appears yawning and starts tidying the house.
(background music).
Storyteller 1: Once upon a time there lived a nice girl. Poor
thing, she didn’t have
parents. She lived with her stepmother and two stepsisters.
Storyteller 2: The girl’s name was Cinderella. Because she was a
very kind and
hardworking
person. Her stepmother and two stepsisters didn’t like her.
They
made her work for them all the time. So here they are.
(Cinderella’s
stepmother appears, yawning and calling Cinderella).
Stepmother: Cinderella! What are you doing? You are not
working?
Stepmother: Work girl,
Work. Make The breakfast . I’m hungry
Stepmother: Cinderella. Bring me some coffee! (sits down on the
chair).
Cinderella: Yes, mum. Please, mum. (brings her a cup of coffee).
(Anna
and Beth appears in the same way)
Anna: Cinderella. Bring me an apple! (Sits down on the
chair next to her mother).
Cinderella: Here you are, dear sister! (brings her an apple).
Beth: Cinderella, bring me some tea! (sits down on the
chair next to her mother)
Cinderella: Just a second, dear Betty! (brings her a cup of tea).
Beth: You music know I don’t like tea with milk. I like
tea with lemon! What did you
bring?
Cinderella: I’m sorry, dear sister! Anna likes tea with milk. I’m
sorry. I forgot.
Wait,
please I’ll be in a second.
Story-teller 1: It was December and the king decided to make a ball,
a Christmas party.
For
all the people of his kingdom.
Story-teller 2: He wanted all young ladies to come to his palace, as
he wanted to find a
bride for his son, Prince Phillip.
(Knock at the door.
Cinderella opens the door. The first Guard comes into the room and comes up to Stepmother).
Guard 1: Good morning, madam! IS there any young lady living
in this house?
Stepmother: Yes, I have two daughters. Anna and Beth. What’s the
matter?
Guard: (reads) «On 25th
of December His Majesty, King Frederic the Fifth is going to see all the young
ladies of his kingdom at the Christmas party» All the ladies
must be beautifully dressed and accompanied by their mothers. The most
beautiful kind lady will become the bride of Prince Phillip. The party begins
at 8 o’clock in the evening.»
So, madam, the kin invites
you and daughters to the ball in his palace tonight at 8 o’clock. Good bye,
madam!
Stepmother: Good
bye, sir. (the guard leavers).
Anna!
Betty! We are going to the ball. The king is looking for a bride the
prince. He wants to see all young girls at the palace tonight at 8 o’clock.
Get

Ann: The king wants to see us!
Betty: I’ll see the prince. I’ll talk to him. May be I’ll

Cinderella: I’ll see the palace, the prince , too. People say
that the palace is very

Anna and Beth: You?!? Oh, no! Ha.ha.ha!

come into the palace?
Stepmother: Stop, girls, stop. We don’t have much time to
speak. We must get ready for the ball. Cinderella! Make new beautiful dresses

at the party.
Anna: Let’s go and get ready for the party in the palace.
(Everybody leaves).
SCENE 2
Storyteller 1: So Cinderella prepared the most beautiful dresses for
her stepmother and stepsisters. She was very tired.
Story-teller 2: But her sisters were rude as always
(Anna. Beth and
stepmother appears in new beautiful dresses
Cinderella follows
them).
Anna: I don't like this dress. It
is very simple
Beth: My dress is not good either.
It is very dork (light).
Stepmother : No, girls. Look, you are very
beautiful in these dresses. Let's go, or we’ll be late.
( going to leave).
Cinderella: (runs after Stepmother) Dear mother, can I go with

(Fairy appears and comes up to Cinderella).
Storyteller 1: This is Cinderella's

(tries to
leave).
Fairy: Stop, take the shoes!
Cinderella: Oh, thank you, dear
godmother.
Fairy: Stop, dear child! How are you
going to go to the palace? On foot? Here is a carriage made
of a pumpkin near
the front door.
Cinderella: (looks through the window). Oh thank you, dear godmother.
Fairy: Stop! Listen! You must leave
the palace before 12 o'clock. Otherwise your dress will
become old and
dirty, your carriage will become the pumpkin again. Be care-full don't
forget about it.
Cinderella:
Oh thank
you, dear godmother. I'll remember everything, (runs away, my -eaves
too).
SCENE 4
The palace All characters dance minuet. Cinderella
dance with Prince Phillip and the they sit down on the chairs and start
talking.
Storyteller l: So Cinderella came to the
ball When die prince saw the girl, he fell a love with her-at once Really she
was the most beautiful girl at the party. Her step mother and stepsisters
didn't recognize her.
Storyteller 2: Cinderella was very happy,
she danced with the prince and with king the king. And everybody liked her.
Look, Cinderella and Phillip are speaking. Let's listen to what they are
talking about.
Prince: You are so beautiful and
kind. You must like all living creatures in the world.
Cinderella: Yes, I like animals. 1 think
I can understand them and they understand me.
I like
plants. I have a lot of flowers at home. They talk to me. They understand me.
Prince: What do you like to do in
your free time? I usually ride my horse, or go hunting.
winter 1 like to skate.
We make a big skating-rink in the palace. But it is very boring to
skate alone. Will you join me someday?
Cinderella: I don't know. I'm afraid I
can't skate.

Cinderella's house.
Cinderella is tidying the house. Stepmother is sitting in the armchair and
reading smth. .
Storyteller 1: the prince sent his guards to visit all the houses in
the kingdom
Storyteller 2: He wanted all the girls to try on the shoe his new
friend had left. Now the guard is in the house of Cinderella.
(Knock at the door.
Cinderella opens the door. The Second Guard comes into the room the First Guard Follows him holding a small pillow
with the shoe. They come up to Stepmother).
Guard 2: Good morning, madam. Have you got a daughter?
Stepmother: Good morning,
sir. I have two daughters. What’s happened?
Guard 2: Prince Phillip wants to find the girl whom he met at
the Christmas party. The girl suddenly ran away without saying a word. She left
her shoe. (reads). «If any girl tries on the shoe, and if the shoe suits
her, she will become the bride of the prince After she marries Prince Philip
will get the half of the kingdom as a present.
His Majesty, King Frederic
the Fifth». So, madam call your daughters.
Stepmother: Anna, Beth, Come here! Try on the shoe. One of you can
become the of the wife of the prince.
Anna: I’m the first. I’m older
Guard 2: (trying the shoe). No, it’s to small for you.

Guard 2: (trying the shoe). I’m sorry lady it doesn’t suit

ball.

(prince appears)

Storyteller 2: Cinderella and Prince Phillip Lived long and
