  Red Square is the heart of Moscow. The Kremlin faces Red Square. In old Russian ‘red’ means beautiful. It got its name in the 17th century. Red Square is large. It is famous for St Basil’s Cathedral, the Mausoleum, the State History Museum and GUM.
