Have you ever sat on a bus and thought how much 1) better (good) bus travel would be if we had bus lanes? Our city has some of the 2) worst (bad) traffic problems in Europe and often even the 3) most experienced (experienced) bus drivers can't go any 4) faster (fast) than a bicycle. This could be avoided if there were bus lanes. Then, bus journeys could be 5) more direct (direct) and 6) quicker (quick) than they are now. Passengers would be happy to pay 7) higher (high) fares for a 8) more reliable
(reliable) service rather than continuing to pay less for a poor service. It's time we started thinking about it.

Munich public transport system is provided by the company called MVV ( Münchner Verkehrs – und Tarifverbund). The public transport in Munich is one of the best in Germany and Europe

S-Bahn - is the local suburban train covers the area 50 km around Munich. There are 8 different lines. All the cines run through the city and they run underground. Each of the 8 lines runs every 20 minutes and there is no between around 1:30 and 4:30 am.
S-Bahn
42 слайд
U-Bahn has 8 lines running through the city area and they are almost everywhere underground. Usually they run every 10 min., every 5 min during the rush hours ( 7 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 7 p.m.), every 20 min. on Sunday mornings
U-Bahn
43 слайд
Trams are a little slower than S- and U-bahn but also a very good means of transport in Munich. They give you excellent sights through the city. Wherever possible, they have a separate track and have priority over regular and cross roads which is managed by a sophisticated traffic control system. Also the frequency during rush hours is every 3-4 min. Some of them run the whole night
Strassenbahn
( Tram)
44 слайд
Buses have a large area to cover. They usually run every 10 min, but in the evening and on weekends they run only every 20-40 min. There is no service usually from 5 to 1 a.m. Some special lines run the whole night. With buses and trams together, there is probably no place in Munich more than 5 min walk away from public transport.
Bus

Bikes are also a great way to get around. Munich has lots of bike paths all over and is the self-proclaimed biking capital of Germany

Germany is covered by a busy modern network of motorways(Autobahnen) autobahnen are three- or four-lane motorways. Lorries are banned from travelling on autobahnen at weekends during the summer holidays, making it easier for cars to cover long distances.
These can get very busyon some routes, but the quality of roads in Munich and all over Germany tends to be very high.
