Предисловие


Данный грамматический практикум предназначен для студентов I курса всех специальностей очной формы обучения, как для аудиторной, так и для самостоятельной работы и ставит своей целью развитие навыков устной и письменной речи.

Он состоит из трех обучающих программ по основным видовременным формам глагола в действительном залоге (Рresent Simple, Past Simple, Future Simple) и грамматических упражнений, которые могут быть использованы для повторения и систематизации грамматических структур, для расширения словарного запаса обучаемых и для совершенствования лексико-грамматических навыков говорения.

Грамматический практикум включает задания такого типа: дополнение незаконченных предложений требуемыми по смыслу грамматическими формами, выбор одной из предложенных глагольных форм, определяемый контекстом, правильное построение предложений, вопросы к различным членам предложения, переводные упражнения, грамматические тесты, общеобразовательные тексты, предназначенные для развития навыков устной речи, англо-русского перевода и разучивание песен на английском языке, которые связаны с грамматическими темами, что способствует повышению культурного уровня студентов по освоению программы, включающий грамматический и лексический материал.

Рекомендации студентам по применению грамматического практикума по самостоятельной работе:

- самостоятельную работу рекомендуется начинать с изучения обучающих программ по основным временам группы Simple;

- выполнение грамматических упражнений дает возможность учиться анализировать, отбирать и творчески использовать в речи изучаемый материал.

Они также позволяют быстрее усвоить лексико – грамматический материал. Студенты могут выполнять их либо устно, либо письменно по усмотрению преподавателя;

- чтение и перевод текстов, включенных в грамматический практикум. Они построены на грамматическом материале, предназначены для чтения с общим охватом содержания и снабжены заданиями и вопросами, которые носят речевой характер и направлены на развитие умения самостоятельного связного высказывания на английском языке;

- выполнение письменного теста, предназначенного для проверки знаний студентов по основным грамматическим временам. Кроме того, тесты проверяют языковую догадку обучаемых.

- тексты песен известной британской группы «Beatles» рекомендуется самостоятельно заучивать наизусть.

Grammar: Present Indefinite (Simple) Tense


1.Прочтите правило и выучите, когда употребляется это время, т.е. настоящее неопределённое (простое) Present indefinite (Simple) Tense употребляется, когда действие происходит вообще, обычно, а не в момент разговора речи.

Я хожу в техникум каждый день.

Запомните наиболее распространённые наречия неопределённого времени, употребляемые в Present Simple always__всегда,_often_часто,_usually_обычно,_ sometimes иногда,_seldom_ редко и обстоятельственные слова такие как: every day (week, month, year)_______

Каждый день, каждую неделю, каждый месяц, каждый год.


2.Закройте правило и запишите в тетради:

a) когда употребляется это время



Когда действие происходит вообще, обычно, а не в момент разговора речи.

б) наиболее распространённые наречия неопределённого времени, употребляемые в Present Indefinite (Simple) Tense

образуется от неопределённой формы глагола без частицы to. Исключение составляет 3 лицо ед. число, где прибавляется окончание –s- (-es-). Окончание читается по правилам чтения буквы s ________________________


4. Запомните особенности произношения окончания s- (-es-).

а) после глухих согласных [s] ____________

Importance of English

Youth culture

Today we often hear that habits and preferences of modern youth have changed completely. We also always hear that today's teens don't behave in the same way like their parents did. Youth culture consists of several different parts.

First, maybe the most noticeable of them is youth fashion. The clothes modern teens wear has changed completely. For example modern girls vibrate from one extreme to another. Now they wear either extremely long dresses or extremely short dresses. They also use a lot of makeup. Either boys or girls today dye their hair in bright colors, wear boots with high soles, they also wear bouffant clothes and wear sunglasses with glasses of different colors for example violet, yellow, green e.t.c. Many modern juveniles don't shave their faces and wear side-whiskers.

Second part of youth culture is music. Modern music consists of several styles and types: rap, pop, rave, techno, folk, hip-hop, rock, house, progressive house and so on. But the most popular music today is electronic music. This music is the main component of music in nightclubs. Usually this kind of music doesn't have any words.

Sport, the third part of youth culture is still very popular among teenagers. But the reasons why people go in for sport today have changed completely. Most people today go in for sport because it has become prestigious. Tennis, for instance, is considered to be very prestigious kind of sport for well-to-do people and their sons and daughters. Next popular kind of sport is pool. Now there are many pool-bars in most Russian cities. And today more and more young people visit pool-bars and play pool.

Fourth part of youth culture today is modern movie theatres. Cinemagoers especially young people very quickly get accustomed to these technological advances and now they are used to going to the movie theatres. It's part of their day-to-day life.

Youth culture consists of many parts of our life. Youth culture is changing so rapidly that in several years most of our modern things will be considered outdated.

Balzac, the famous French writer was a man of great talent. He wrote many novels which were translated into different languages and were known all over the world. But Balzac himself was proud of his ability of telling the character and behavior of a person by his or her handwriting. According to his words he could always tell everybody’s character.

One day a woman friend of Balzac brought him a young boy’s exercise-book. She showed it to him and asked him to try and tell her what Balzac thought of the boy’s character. The woman said that the boy was not her son and that Balzac might tell her the truth. Balzac studied the handwriting for a few minutes and then said: “Everything is quite clear to me. I shall tell you the truth.” He asked the woman to pay attention to some features of the handwriting and said that the boy was a bad lazy fellow. “ It can’t be possible,” said the woman smiling.” This is a page from your exercise book which you used when you were a boy.”

My friend's English.

My friend decided to start a new phase in his life. He wants to improve his English. He will work hard at his pronunciation. My friend will speak and read English very fluently. English is our International Language number one. You cannot make any professional career without English. That's why both his success and his career depend on his progress in English.

Yesterday he went shopping since he wanted to buy some new dictionary for his English course. Their teacher told them to try and to find some new textbook. She advised them to look for some textbook based on the “New Russian Method”. This “New Russian Method” is the best way to learn English very quickly and very successfully. He is very glad to have such a good opportunity to check the quality of this famous and brilliant method. He called me, we agreed to meet in the centre of the city. We met and went shopping together.
