The problem of ecology is very important now. We shall
exchange our opinions about these global problems, how to protect our Earth,
how to prevent further pollution of the atmosphere and what urgent and
necessary measures to undertake. I suggest you to write down your opinion in
your exercise book and find out what everyone thinks about this problem
Pupil 1.
.Ecology is a science about nature and about relations of man
with it. We are really one with nature, our planet and the Universe. Don’t
forget. Our Earth is our Home. People must take care of it. Our environment
must be clean.
Pupil 2.
Unfortunately, our technical civilization thinking only of material goods
succeeded in destroying Nature and creating the ecological crisis on our
planet. These are the names of the main environmental problems of today:
littering, air pollution, water pollution, endangered animals, and destruction
of nature resources.
Pupil 3.
People’s activity pollutes our environment. It is physical and chemical
pollution. We can’t solve this problem without fighting together. Millions of
cars and smoky factories pollute and spoil the air we breathe in. Pollution is
hanging over big cities like an ugly brown cloud. It is hurting our lungs, the
life of animals, birds and plants.

4. We live on the Earth. This planet is our home. We want our home to be clean
and new. We want to see blue seas and rivers, green trees and fields, clear
sky. If you care about the planet, don’t make it dirty. Don’t leave plastic
bags, bottles, litter in the streets, parks, forests. Remember that the future
is in our hands.

For a long time, too little attention was paid to the environment. Today the
situation is different. People all over the world are worried what is happening
to the environment because of modern industry and the need for more energy.
Newspapers and magazines write about water, air and soil pollution. Now many
parts of the world are overcrowded.

You know that people all over the world are worried about our environment.
Children, do you like our city and our district. Do you want to see our
district clean and tidy?

5. No doubt, we like our city and our district. They are nice and beautiful.

I share your opinion, but there are also some ecological problems in our area
too. What do you think?

There many problems in our region. Rivers are polluted. Flowers are pulled out.
Litter is left.

2. Water in our rivers is really polluted. Polluted water kills fish and other
marine life. People must not be passive observers. They must try to make future
life better. Water pollution seems to be one of the main problems in our Kursk
region.

1.The words of the poem impressed me greatly. I am upset because we have just
seen on the map many polluted parts of our region. Now I know that buses and
cars are sources of pollution too. And noise is a special kind of environmental
pollution too.

People of the whole world must take urgent measures to protect the environment
from further pollution of the land, water and air. We must take care of our
planet. The importance of this task is pointed out by ecologists, scientists
who study the relations between living things and their environment. Each of us
must do everything possible to keep the land, air and water clean.
There lots of ways of keeping our planet clean. What
are they? What we should do and what we mustn’t do. Let’s have a talk. Who
wants to be first?

1. One way is to remember 3 rules: reduce, recycle and reuse.

In our family energy is reduced. We all know it is important to recycle
things.

family paper is recycled. Paper comes from trees. If we don’t recycle paper, a
lot of trees will be destroyed. Many birds, plants and animals may become
extinct.
