Задачи урока:

формировать правильное произношение.

– развивать навыки чтения, восприятия и понимания речи
на слух, умения работать в парах, индивидуально и коллективно; расширять
кругозор учащихся.
3. Воспитательная
– воспитывать чувство любви к музыке в общем и к опере в
частности.
Учебно-методическое обеспечение:
компьютер, аудио файлы к текстам, видео мюзикла, учебник для 8 класса «English»
под ред. Л.М.Лапицкой, рабочая тетрадь, раздаточный материал, магниты.

Warm-up.
Teacher:
Hello dear students! I’m glad to see you. How are you today?
When
did you last listen to music?
When
did you last go to a concert?
When
did you last go to the theatre?
When
did you last go to a musical?
Do
you like musicals? Why?
Today
we’re going to speak about this kind of art and about a famous musical in
particular.
Have
a look at the blackboard. There you can see three sentences. Your task is to
finish them.
a) Opera

c) You
can watch an opera in an opera house or listen to it on a … .
Let’s check the sentences

Today we’re going to speak about one popular modern musical. Its story is based
on the book written in 1909. Listen to some famous music while looking at the
picture on the blackboard and guess the name of this musical (приложение
1).

you ever heard this music? What musical is it from?

the Phantom of the Opera.
Let’s
read and learn to pronounce the proper names of the main characters.

one by one and fix your strips on the board with the help of magnets in the
correct order. In the end, you’ll get a short summary of the story on the board
