theme of the lesson: Seasons
The
aims of the lesson:

To
teach students to speak about the seasons.

read and to understand oral speech.

love nature.

Procedure
of the lesson
1.
Org.
moment
A
teacher tells the aim of the lesson. Looking at the blackboard you`ve just
known about the theme of the lesson. Today we`ll speak about our seasons and
nature. We have got four seasons. They are winter, spring, summer, autumn. (The
teacher demonstrates some photos).
2.
Phonetic
drill of the words (at the blackboard)
Winter is white
Spring time is green
Summer is golden
And autumn`s a flame
Four lovely seasons
To make up a year,
Sing them by colour
And sing them by name.
(All pupils read the poem)
3.
Reading.
Spring
I
am spring. People call me the season of hope and happiness. When I come,
flowers begin to grow, green leaves appear on the trees. Birds come from the
South and begin to build their nests. Then they feed little ones. Pioneers help
their fathers mothers to plant trees, vegetables flowers. The sky is blue.
First May -wash the earth and everything looks bright.
Summer
After
spring time is over, summer comes. My months are June, July and August. I am
the hottest season of the year. The sun shines brightly, green grass and
flowers are everywhere. Children go to their pioneer camps, where they bathe,
lie in the sun, gather mushrooms and berries and help collective farmers to
grow rich crops.
Autumn
I
come after summer, when days become cool. I bring fruit, vegetables and corn,
and turn the leaves red, yellow and brown.
Everything
looks so beautiful in its colour ful dress. Birds fly to the South. The rains
begin. One day you get up and see that your town (village) is all covered with
snow.
Winter
I
am the coldest season of the year. My months are December, January, February.
When I come, all the rivers and lakes are frozen. Snowflakes dance in the air.
The ground, the trees and the houses are covered with deep snow. The sun rises
later and sets earlier than in summer. But when it sends its rays to the earth,
everything sparkles like diamonds. You'll never see such a wonderful picture in
any other season. Children sledge, ski and skate or go for a walk in the woods.
They are fond of winter-time!
Учащиеся класса делятся на 4 группы. Каждая группа
вместе читают, переводят текст и дают название времени года соответственно
содержания текста и на листе бумаги записывают его, так, переписываясь от
одного стола к другому, они прочитают все тексты. Учитель контролирует
правильность выполнения задания.
4.
Listen
and practice.
The
teacher reads the text and pupils name it. The pupils read the names of the
seasons, which they have guessed and white them down into their copybooks.
5.
Main
activity.
A game «Seasons».
Listen and guess.
A little old woman with twelve children: some short,
some long, some hot. What is it? (A year)
What is without hands and without feet, without head
or body, but can open a door? (The wind)
What is it that can catch me in the garden and make me
wet, but cannot reach me when I am at home? (Rain)
In winter and in summer they stand both in one colour.
(A fir-tree and a pine)
What man cannot live inside the house? (A snow-man)
The pupils write down: a year, a wind, a rain, a
fir-tree, a pine, a snow-man.
